Can You Imagine Air Power Soccer Hover Disk

This is basically a light hovercraft fan that does not go in any particular direction on a flat surface until you move it. It is powered by 4 AA alkaline 1.5v batteries but are not included (although you can use 2x rechargeable 3.7 volt li-on batteries and 2 dummy placeholder batteries). Do not expect this to last forever, since it is constantly draining the batteries once turned on by the switch underneath. It also does not work in grass too well. Short grass or carpet is a stretch, and taller grass is impossible. It performs well indoors or outdoors so long as it has a flat and level surface to glide over. Expect the sound similar to a small blow dryer when in use. The foam/ rubber guards covering the sides are probably not suitable to survive a serious kick from an older child. The plastic in the middle housing the turbine (the soccer ball ⚽️ looking part) has a vent that would probably be the worst part for rainwater to get inside. I do not think stepping on this disk is a good idea, given the construction design and materials used to make it, as it will break if roughhoused.

I bought this item as a birthday present for my older soccer fanatic brother, so he could play soccer inside without the hazard of a real soccer ball running into the furniture and walls. The disk is a little smaller than I thought, but still works well. We found that the disk worked much better on carpet, rather than on hardwood, or tile, or another hard floor. There is a protective layer of foam around the disk, so it allows the players to kick the disk pretty hard without damaging it. The lights work well, and the disk slides well, too, but doesn't go as far with every kick as a real ball would. It works better than I thought it would. I would recommend this product to a person who's household, or ideal playing area is carpeted. A tip is also to let the ball "warm up" for about 30 seconds to a minute before usage. Good product, I recommend this product.

It works until the bumper falls off.It floats really well, the fan is strong enough to keep it floating over my slightly uneven hardwood floor.The lights were fun, and lasted a while. But they died after my 12yo son kicked the pants off this thing. Ok, it's not made for outdoor-strength kicking.The key point of this soccer "ball" is that the foam bumper wears out first. After a couple dozen indoor soccer games, the black foam around the perimeter just fell off. Just fell right off. It was badly pitted and damaged from the abuse, and that's not unexpected. We kick it.But you should know that after 10-12 months of use, you're gonna kick the black foam off, and then you don't want to use it anymore.

I bought this and put it away to use on a day when we needed some activity during this lockdown, tonight was that night. I pulled it out and the first thing that isn't that desirable is the that you have to unscrew three tiny screws to get the 4 double A batteries in. Not a big deal... then we started playing. It hovers fantastically, like air hockey on your floor, it was so cool. We were having a great time for about 15 minutes...and then, it stopped working. We thought maybe a battery was knocked loose, so we unscrewed and checked, all the batteries were in properly. We switched the batteries out with fresh ones, and it worked again...for about 10 minutes. I don't know if kicking it (which it's a soccer disc, so you should be able to kick it) or the battery life is just drained so quickly is what is causing it to fail, but it's a real bummer. The box says you can bowl it and use hockey sticks on it. It should be able to withstand the kicking in a game of soccer. Also, a small piece of the rubber bumper was ripped while we were playing. We got a about thirty minutes out of it with a battery change in between, but that's not what we were expecting so we're disappointed.

This is actually as cool as I was hoping it would be! It hovers just like a puck on an air hockey table and slides just as easy IF you are using on wood, linoleum, or laminate flooring. If you are hoping this will work on carpet, of any kind, you'll be disappointed, otherwise it's pretty cool. I wouldn't actually give it a good "kick" because it will want to flip on you but a good hard shove with your foot is just the ticket. LED lights add to the fun and mesmerization of the child. Boys and girls love it, ages 10, 8, 6, and 2.

Super fun indoor toy for playdates, especially during the winter. My 8 yr and 4 yr old kids play with it inside and I don't have any issues with scuffing or denting. It doesn't lift off the ground either so, as opposed to playing with a real ball indoors, this is safe for the house. My daughter really loves the light up action and I often see the older one coaching the little one on how to play soccer with lights going and their mini radio blaring. It's in complete indoor party. We've owned it for 6 months and so far have't had any problems with it breaking. Of course my kids don't slam it but use moderate kids. It's great for travel too, if they are bored in hotel, or isolated area of airport, they can take it out to release some energy. Just wish we could use it while camping at night!

Purchased as a gift. Did not work well on low-pile rug nor a dusty concrete floor (brand new basement). Worked moderately well on wood floor. Had I known it would not work in a basement, I would not have purchased this. The idea was for the kids to use at the home, preferably in the basement. The batteries were used up pretty quickly. That is why I gave it 2 stars.Otherwise it floats well and has some nice bumper edging. It was hard to tell from our brief usage if the black bumper marked any of the white baseboards. Since our open wood floor area was so small it didn't get used much. This toy although great in concept, the limited surfaces that it works with renders it almost as non-used for the recipient. Unsure how this works for tile or other surfaces. It was not used outside on concrete or other surfaces - such as a tennis court , we may need to test it there - but then that requires we pile in a car and find an unused court.

Fun and well balanced. A little bit noisy.To enjoy it most you better have a bit of space which often lack inhouse but a fun toy nontheless and quite reasonably priced

This toy has the potential to be really good. It just does not live up to that criteria. It is lovely that children can kick this about indoors and not harm the furniture but so many times it just does not work. It would be well worth upgrading the toy and charging a little more for it to enable it to become good.

Good fun to kick about the house without worrying about tv and other bits haha only downside is it uses 4 batteries, so far used only handful of times so can't say how long they last

i have bought a few of these for all my boys friends birthday party! they are all football crazy and this is such a great and fun indoor solution. even got one for my son too and we all enjoy playing in the house together. extra cool how they protect the walls and hover! great product and great solution. v recommended

I Brought this for a 8 year old boy. It was brilliant it went down very well. And all of the children(and some of the adults) at the party ended up playing with it. Works Well and arrived quickly. I was very happy with it.
