Tread design makes it possible to ride in any condition. Long lasting rubber compound.

A bargain
I purchased the blackwall version of this tire. I have been quite happy with it. It is a bit heavier than the tire it replaced, but not heavy enough to be a problem. The tire is rated for 65 psi, more than my previous tire, and I found that I had to reposition the wheel a bit for the tire to avoid the fender when it was fully inflated, simply because it was wider at the higher pressure. One reviewer here complained about rocks getting stuck in the tire tread's grooves. I do some riding on gravel and on a dirt road that has plenty of little rocks, but the tread usually stays clear.I have had no flats in five months of light riding. That is unusual. There are probably lighter tires with lower roll resistance available for more money, but this tire is good enough for me.

Chen Shin C241 Street bicycle tire
I loved Chen Shin motorcycle tires when I was young, For a motorcycle, 15,000 miles was not very good, but for a bicycle, 10,000 miles is great. I think it is the same rubber that they made their motorcycle tires out of, Most of the tires at WM you are lucky to get 1000 miles out of it. Also there is enough rubber to keep the sand spurs from causing leaks, at least for a while. I ride a bicycle a lot, for health reasons, I don't like to drive a car anymore, I need good tires, so that I don't have to fix the bicycle all the time. I keep a spare bicycle, I needed another good rear tire, they carry twice the weight of the front tire, I love this tire, so I am ordering another one, same place, same tire.

Nice tire, no knobbs = smoother ride
It's a nice tire, purchased for both front and back wheel, the reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because after riding it for about a month, the back wheel has developed an odd bulge in 2 spots It could be because tire was inflated to the max 65psi, or It could also be because there's an electric battery attached to the back-rack adding extra weight, tire was checked few times, it was seated properly, and there were no pinches, if tire is deflated half way the bulge is not visible. Another thing to note, little rocks do get inside the ridges of the tire so after a while, it may catch quite a few of them but it's not that bad.Over-all it's a fine tire, If i had to install it over again on a new bike I probably wouldn't inflate it to the 65psi max.

Not recommended for rough roads.
Belts inside tire broke within the first ten rides. My ride to/from work is on OLD pavement with lots of cracks, rocks, and one railroad crossing. This tire is nice, but definitely designed for smoother paths.

Great Product
I bought two for my girlfriends Scwinn Cruiser, and she LOVES them. They came in decent time, and were fairly easy to install. Youtube if you have any trouble. A great looking tire, and great performing as well. I saw people complain about "yellowing" but you can avoid this with a UV protectant (Armorall works as well). If you do use the UV protectant wipe it on ONLY the whites with a cloth. Very smooth ride i would recommend these to anyone.

Solid durable
I am using it for a friction drive motor which is quite hard on tires. Seems fairly durable and is holding up against the grinding of the engaging sprocket. I believe it would be durable under normal wear. I use it with confidence that it will not fail under extreme use.

Cheng shin white wall tire,26x2.125
This was a specific tire that I was looking for. The tread and tire in the photo are exact to what arrived. Looks great!I would like to add that if you are a price shopper as I am you will find this tire under another name "Cycle Pro". The Cycle pro tire has the Cheng Shin logo molded in just like the other. The prices are different but the tires are the same. I bought both brands from the same store (Amazon via Niagra cycle inc.) to see if they were different so you don't have to wonder. I could have called Niagra Cycle,Inc via Amazon and Im sure they would have told me the same but Im a late night shopper and buy when Im ready to buy. With the tire by "Cycle Pro", the only noticeable difference (if you look close) is that the tire dimension lettering on the side wall ISNT as close as it is on the Cheng Shin brand. The cycle pro did come with nice spiral wrapped packaging that keeps the sidewall bright during shipping. The tires are soft and supple for a smooth ride. I run these on my vintage beach cruisers. Make sure your fenders are large enough. They wont fit very well under Middle weight fenders esp. if they have screws instead of rivets on the fender braces.
O**.
Was suspicious of quality based on price. Turned out unfounded.
Hello,I just want to state, that I was worried based on the price that the quality of this tire was going to be horrible. completely wrong, this is a solid tire.I am 6 feet 3 inches tall and weight in at 330 pounds. I was sure that me + bike weight (24" trek: approximately 30 pounds) would shred this tire. I filled them to the max rated 65 PSI.With speeds ranging from 9 to 12 mph this tire handled every 1 to 2 inch potholes (thank you city of Chicago) and curbs beautifully. I will update this review in a couple of weeks. As of right now (50 miles on these tires), when these tires wear out, I will be replacing them with the same ones. Hope they still manufacture them in a couple of years.Highly recommended for heavier people.
