A passionate varied collection of Walking Dead art from the fans
This collection doesn't really feature any special commentary or behind the scenes of any part of the series. Yet, what it does give is a nicely presented collection of potential covers for the issue 100 special. All these covers are in black and white save for the blood that can run across many of the designs, some feel considerably more finished than others, yet nearly all of them are really striking and great to look at. There does seem to be more of a focus on close-up grotesque illustrations of various different zombies then anything else, but still very cool stuff. I suppose it also would've been nice to have some more bonus/concept art from Adlard and Kirkman, but that might just be me wishing for them to stop delaying the Cutting Room Floor and Volume 2 of Covers books again and again.Best of all some amount of the proceeds from this collection go towards The Hero Initiative, to support those in the comic-book industry after times of need. A cause I don't immediately think of when thinking about great charitable causes, but it makes sense for an industry I imagine doesn't have a lot stability. Who knows, this cause might allow the next great series to enter our shelves.I say the 100 Project is worth picking up for a quick browse as soon as you get it, and then come back to it after reading some issues of TWD time to time.

Visually Awesome
I love to see artists renditions of other people's work. This book contains 100 versions of The Walking Dead #100 covers done by 100 different artists. I thought that about 1/3 of the covers looked awesome and 1/3 are very good and 1/3 are just regular good. The Sean Phillips cover is my favorite. It supports the Hero Initiative but the really cool thing is that you probably only heard of about half of the artists featured in this book until you go to a Comic Con (any Comic Con not just that San Diego Donkey Show) and meet some of these diamonds in the rough and then you go, "Hey, you did that Walking Dead #100 cover that was awesome could you draw me a ……"

Just can't get enough dead
Pretty cool art work. I wish they would have wrote a short review of the artist on each cover. I picked it up just to add to my TWD graphic novel collection. Just one of those things you can't get enough of. Most of you know what I'm talking about.

I love this book and since the sales goes to support comic book artists who are in need. It is a cherished item on my bookshelf. There are many interesting takes on The Walking Dead comics. Hats off to all the artists who contributed. Look forward to the next collection.

Swing and a miss
The Walking Dead has never been about zombies. Both the amazing TV series and the incredible comic before it.Best described as 'startling in it's small moments', it is a story about humanity: torn apart, sewn together, put under a powerful microscope. Not everyone gets this, unfortunately. The 100 Project features 100 WD covers from a variety of comic book artists from across the industry. And, yeah, they pretty much all produced works about zombie gore for their covers.I was hoping for images of the characters' private battles. Those small, seismic moments. But, no. Just zombies and gore.Swing and a miss...

Great display of artistic pictures related to the series of The Walking Dead, some images are very well done for a special.

This is an ART BOOK only, full of alternate covers for issue #100, no text. I knew that when I purchased it and I enjoyed it.

A must for fans of the comic and fellow artists
This book of 100 covers was done by various artists, some of which drew the one off cards found in the Walking Dead Comic trading cards. I'm not an artist but some drawings I looked at and said what a waste of a cover, however the majority left me speechless they were that good. Inside are two blank covers, if your an artist or just want to mess up your book.

Nice collectors item but only for collectors!
The Walking Dead 100 project is a nice little book that would add to a collection but it is simply an art book. It features a walking dead comic cover designed by various artists. It has no story so for casual readers it isn't worth it.
