S40009 12” 3 Speed Desk Fan with Oscillation, Adjustable Tilt, White

Was skeptical due to other reviews however it is a simple setup and easy to use fan. The 3 basic speed options are good and tilt function and rotation all works well. Looks good and powerful enough for my kitchen to lower temperatures. Good value for money and since its table top its also portable. Thanks

Very decent fan, allows me to get a great night's sleep, great value, easy assembly and noise is perfect volume!!

I had not realised that this fan requires a little bit of home assembly. Not a major problem although a couple of bits are quite fiddly.It comes with the base unit and separate blade, guards and a base. You take the screws off the existing base, slot on the additional base and screw up again. You then take off the two bits on the spindle to attach the rear guard, the fan blades, and the front guard.If you want the front white disc with the brand name on it, you have to attach this before the front guard is attached to the back guard. You then have to put a pretty small bolt through a hole at the bottom of the guards, put on and tighten a nut. It's not too difficult but fiddly and imagine would be a right pain if you have any kind of arthritis or similar issues in your fingers.In any case, once done the fan operates as most of these do, with oscillating mode and three speeds of fan. Seems to do the job well enough. I wonder if the price is a little cheaper because you are doing some of the assembly work yourself!

The media could not be loaded.  Got two of these for my kids rooms and very impressed. Pretty powerful and not too noisy. Fairly easy to assemble. Could be a little sturdier but have had worse.

Assembly instructions confusing, unclear and no diagram. Found it impossible to put together and did not want to fiddle about forcing things and screws as everything seems really cheap and likely to break.Those who like high difficulty puzzles may be in for a whole days enjoyment and end up with a super fragile fan. Good luck.I sent it back. A candidate for the most useless piece of rubbish that I have ever bought online.

Build quality isn’t great but it does the job just fine

This fan was very much designed and built to a budget. The base requires assembly which involves taking out 4 screws and adding a base and replacing the screws . Also 4 rubber feet must be added to the base. This took some force to insert them . If you don't, the fan will rattle. The rest of the fan is pretty standard assembly if somewhat fiddly due to poor quality parts. If you haven't put a fan together before you may struggle. The instructions are useless . I got the 12 inch model and it is quiet and throws out a good breeze. The plastic case and base are made of very thin cheap plastic and I don't think it will prove very durable . Mine arrived with all its parts and is working fine. But others seem to have gotten ones with missing parts or that came dead on arrival. Given the obvious lack of quality control this isn't surprising. You can get much better fans for not much more money. If your budget is tight, you don't mind a bit of a faff with the assembly and are careful with it, maybe just maybe this is the fan for you.
