On the other hand, it reduces aggressive behavior and irritability, it encourages compassion and openness and improves the quality of meditation because sandalwood is particularly good to relieve stress.
- NATURAL MATERIALS: Mala with 108 beads and a diameter size of 8 mm, made out of authentic sandalwood. The beads have a unique natural texture, they were carefully polished to give them their typical soft roundness. The beads are strung on a heavy-duty, long-lasting elastic cord. Due to their own nature, each bead is unique and its color or size may vary, once you touch them you will feel their natural charm.
- SACRED NUMBER: The number of beads, 108, has a deep meaning in oriental philosophies, the number 1 represents the universe or the Supreme Truth, zero means emptiness and humbleness in the spiritual practice, 8 stands for infinity and timelessness, all of them combined, result in 9, the ultimate number for spiritual vibration.
- HOW TO USE MALA: Identify the guru’s bead, is usually made of a different material or it can be bigger than the rest. Take the mala with your right hand and place it in your ring finger. Once you are ready, pull the first bead towards you with using the fingertip of your thumb, then move onto the next bead, you should pull one bead every time you recite the mantra. Once you get to the guru’s bead again, if you decide to finish the meditation,take off the mala and put it in a clean and safe place
- HOW TO WEAR YOUR MALA: You can wear it around you neck or right wrist or you can place it in a special and clean space of your home until you start your meditation session. If you wear it in your wrist, wrap it around 3-4 times if you are a men, and 4-5 times if you are a women. Although it isn’t completely forbidden, it is recommended that it is only handled by you so it’s not contaminated by different energies other than yours.
