Replacing my otherwise excellent Manfrotto PIXI Mini Tripod
I've had and used the Manfrotto PIXI Mini Tripod, shown on the right in my pic, for years with my Olympus EM-II. Perfect size to throw in my camera bag or even carry in my pocket, very solid and stable enough for a mirrorless. Then I got a new Pixel 6 Pro, and this was the first phone camera I took serious enough to consider using with a tripod, and this was when I also realized the PIXI Mini didn't allow you to put the phone into portrait mode for shooting.I picked up the Joby Handypod instead, and realized not only does it allow you to take portrait photos/videos (there's a little notch that allows the phone to lower all the way to 90deg), the legs feel quite a bit grippier than the Manfrotto, which always felt a little slick to grab onto, or place on less than perfect surfaces. Both tripods have solid builds, will serve in a pinch as a selfie-stick (again, no portrait for the Manfrotto!), and I have a lot of other Manfrotto equipment, including the actual Smartphone Clamp to go with this Joby, but the Joby did a better job with their mini-tripod.One note, the Pixel 6 Pro is a huge phone, and it's just barely stable in portrait mode as shown in the picture. Anything much heavier (do they even exist?) may just tip over the tripod, and even with my current setup, I will need to take care setting up on uneven ground.

Great tripod
I have this one and the Manfrotto one. Both brands are owned by the same company. Both tripods are almost the same, but the joby is more comfortable, a little smaller when folded and it also allows landscape orientation. It also has a hole in one leg for attaching a remote trigger. The joby is and upgrade from the almost identical Manfrotto model.

my phone falls forward constantly
I like that its small and portable. But my phone just flips forward while filming. It doesnt stay put like I want it to. (im probably missing something & not using it correctly)

Not sturdy enough to hold a iPhone 12 Pro Max phone! Disappointed. But nice for hand holding.
Can’t really point the phone directly downward for a flat lau photo without getting the little legs in the shot! Also not sturdy and the head part becomes loose.

Feels Underwhelmed
I purchased the Mobile Plus which came with the GripTight One Mount, the remote and the attachment. I initially was under the impression the name "Mobile Plus" means it is the better one compared to other Handypod Mobile models. I was wrong. Here are some gripes I experienced:1. The tripod moves around even in locked position.2. The mount is garbage. It is able to fold flat which makes it very portable. But that is the only positive side. It will not lock in position compared to other mounts. If you want your phone to stay put, good luck with that. The phone does not stay well with the mount and moves around whenever I touched the phone. The mount itself also tilts downward if you put more pressure towards the top. I am assuming the mount is just not designed to lock the phone in position.3. The remote attachment is nice, but feels like it won't stay well with regular wear and tear.Overall, I believe the name Mobile Plus is an exaggeration, as I don't see anything "plus" about it.

Pretty good.
Pretty sturdy. It holds phone steady in both orientations.Of course you cannot stand on it, but it holds a phone good, which it what it's designed to do.Clips are spring loaded, so consider that. I wouldn't use it to run with. For the $$ it's a good value.

Swivel head can only support so much
Great handle feel and having a swivel function that allows you to freely swivel the phone with the lock of the main button is a nice feature. However, after a month of using it, the swivel feature lost its support to keep the top from moving. I use an Iphone XS and upgraded to Joby's GripTight Pro 2 Mount (Black/Charcoal).I’m revising my review here. Since, I removed the upgraded mount with a lighter, more simpler mount, the swivel seems to hold better. Now, I have a $50 Jody mount that I no longer have a need for, but at least this mini tripod works better now. I’ll update post later.6 month update: the neck no longer supports my iPhone 11. It just leans down now. I’m looking to buy new one and hope it last longer.

Stronger than you’d think!
I bought this little guy to take to Iceland, soI didn’t have a huge tripod. It did everything I asked it, and more. It’s not rated for this weight, but it excelled at even supporting my D800 & 70-200 f/2.8 for long exposures! If your camera is a little front heavy, just rotate the ball joint so one of the legs is underneath the lens, and this will stop it from tipping.I am so glad I bought this. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a tripod in this size.

Impulse remote not suitable for iPhone 12, but otherwise a nice package
Generally speaking, it's a good deal and nice package and i'm certain I would have been happy with this, however I decided to return it due to it not working properly with my 12 Pro MaxI purchased this with the intention of using the Impulse remote for night photography, or taking shots while using the grip feature of the tripod, but sadly, although this will pair with the phone, I was unable to take any shot in any of the camera settings during repeated attempts to take a shot with the phone as intended.I did try testing the remote with an old Galaxy S8 phone to see if the remote was faulty and it worked perfectly with that, but after a few (successful) attempts of reconnecting the device in the bluetooth settings of the 12 Pro Max, but it unable to take a shot in the camera mode, realised there must be some limitation, or obscure setting I couldn't fathom out in the settings.I gave a mark of 4/5 due to it being a good deal if it works with your phone, yet deducted a point because it didn't work with mine and there was no information available to suggest it was incompatible.

Joby HandyPod Mobile Plus - Recommeneded
The tripod is really three separate parts - The tripod itself, the grip for a mobile phone and a bluetooth remote. I bought the version with the bluetooth remote because I was going to be using it for video recordings with me facing the camera. When using hand held, with the remote attached to the leg of the tripod, there is a very audible click when the button is pressed. This is not ideal as the click has to be edited out. There have been times where the remote hasn't actually triggered video start / stop. I am least impressed with the remote. The clamp for the mobile phone does the job pretty well. I would like one that gripped tightly and locked in place. The spring loaded one doesn't inspire full confidence when walking or cycling with the phone recording. That said, it has not fallen out yet !I thought the phone grip was a bit cumbersome when folded, but then realised that you could fold it right away when the head adjusting button was pressed on the tripod. This made it much safer in a rucksack. The tripod itself is well made. Works well as a mini tripod and as a hand grip. The tripod is available for a fair deal less without the remote. Having experienced the remote and found it less useful than I had thought, I would opt for the version without the remote.

Great sturdy tripod
Love everything about this! Just what I needed.I bought the full version with the phone clamp and Bluetooth device and really enjoy using it.It’s pretty sturdy for my phone and won’t fall off unless you press the Joby bar thing in, although not good for my Nikon D5500 (think that’s too heavy depending on what lens is on.The only thing I’d say that annoys me is the Bluetooth device that you can fix on the side as it gets in the way of the mount when you close it all up or put the phone in the clamp, although you can just take it off but apart from that can’t fault it.

Awful product
This was great for 12 months but after just over 18 months of use, it can’t hold up the weight of my 11 pro max anymore and I wouldn’t consider this to be heavily used either.Used mainly in initial lockdown for video calls but has been sat in a draw most of the time folded up and away. Not worth what it is when you can buy much cheaper versions for less.

Canon SX740HS
This camera arrived safely. I cannot give you any details as weather conditions and Covid19 restrictions have prevented me from experimenting, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. I've always rated Canon camera's, and I expect this one to justify the ratings I have given.
