UPDATE July 2019 - I've now had these almost 2 years and I'm still wearing them daily around the house. They're starting to get beat up by now, but they've been holding up great. They still have better arch support than my other sandals even after walking on them daily for almost two years. I keep thinking I should buy another pair soon because of their age, but I keep delaying because they have held up so well. They have taken a lot of abuse._____________________________________________________________________________I really hope these last as they were expensive, but I LOVE them. I was starting to have foot pain in the bottom of my feet (I work from home and usually just walk around the house in my crocs athens flip flops - they're very comfy but not enough arch support), so I took a chance and ordered these. I've been wearing them several days now and my foot pain is 95% gone.Some others posted that the strap rubs between your toes and on the top of your foot but I have not experienced that and I've been wearing these all day for days now. But I've grown accustomed to flip flops from wearing my crocs for so long perhaps I am less sensitive in those areas, and I've seen no irritation or chafing.These fit true to size for me. I wear a womens 10 wide, and this pair fits. Before ordering this pair I tried ordering a womens 10 sketchers sandal which was way too narrow for me (even too narrow for my daughter who has very thin feet but wears the same size as I do). I ended up giving those to my mother who wears a size 9. So I was hesitant to order this Vionic as it was quite more costly than the sketchers pair. But I'm glad I did because they fit just fine and I finally have arch support. I hope they last at least as long as my crocs athens.

I've suffered from Plantar fasciitis for years to the point where simple walking up the hallway was incredibly painful. I came across these sandals and with the support they mention I decided to give them a try. This was at least 7 years ago and I'm now on my 3rd pair! I wear these from the moment I get out of bed until I go to sleep at night. That was they key to dealing with my plantar fasciitis...you need support every moment. At first it felt uncomfortable as I was adjusting to having that stiffer support, but that was only for approximately 2-3 days. I've not had the same issue since purchasing new pairs since. The important factor is getting the right size. Because of how the wave supports your arch if it's hitting the wrong spot it will not work for you. Please don't hesitate to return them. I've done it when I ordered what was mentioned as a unisex size 9, but it was smaller than the pair I normally wear, which I now know is the male size 9/women size 10. In most normal women's shoes I would wear a size 9 or 9 & 1/2, but I need a size 10 in these. I can not emphasize enough how much these have changed my life. I can walk now and though I still have some pain issues, it is nothing compared to what I was dealing with before. I swear by these sandals! I have my mother and sister in law all wearing them too. If it's price holding you back, I gotta say...these last forever. I wore the first pair for about 3 years (mind you this is daily use ALL day long) before the strap broke. The second pair I have are still good, the straps are looser for wearing them all the time and they look more worn, but they are still great. I only got a new pair for back up and for when I want to wear something nicer. I have extremely wide feet and high arch and they still fit perfectly! Even if you don't have foot pain or any other health issues I highly recommend these!

Updated 9/20/19: I still have these flip flops and I have to upgrade them from 4 to 5 stars. The foot-bed has remained resilient and I wore them all summer...like all day, everyday. The the bottoms are wearing like iron too, pretty much no change since I bought them. Really, just awesome foot saving sandals! Thanks Mom!I have plantar fasciitis and was excited to give these orthotic flip flops are try. My Mom mentioned Vionics to me as she has heard great thing about them and bought me a pair as a gift. Once they arrived I tried them on and was surprised by the very high arch, which is what I need, and much heel padding. They fit good and the color and craftsmanship were good. I was a happy camperAfter having them for a little while now I can say they help my feet. I have worn them daily pretty much since they arrived and they are holding up well, with my only gripe being that the padding is starting to compress which is -1 star ( I have given the star back, they are still going strong 9/2019). I was hoping they would be a stiffer material and hold up to constant use, but they do seem to be compressing a bit (didn't compress anymore after the initial break-in. Do it, they are awesome sandals 9/2019). To offset this I have bought other orthotics to help offload the full time work these sandals have been doing and they have recovered mostly from compression and still serve fine.All in a great sandal for people who want summer time relief for their aching feet so you can enjoy yourself!

Provides support for my fallen arches. Nice to wear around the house.
