I’m so glad these are available on Amazon. They’re well made and traditional. I have my tea in them quite often. They get hot, and keep tea hot, so keep the rim for your fingers, or wait until tea is drinking temperature.

I love these cups the only reason I left a 4 star is because they get HOT so when I make tea however hot the tea is, is how hot the cup is, but it's kinda fine because you can hold it by the time it becomes a perfect drinking temp so....

Great Japanese craftsmanship
Great handmade and hand-painted cups from Japan. Very handsome and feel smooth in the hand. Obviously you are going to want a nice coaster to set it on so you can move it while hot, since it has no handles. Seems ridiculous and inconsiderate to the artisans that someone rated it lower for not having a handle when the pictures show it clearly has no handles. If it's too hot to hold, it's too hot to drink, so unless you want to significantly raise your risk of throat cancer, I recommend patiently waiting until your tea cup is not too hot to pick up!
