Fairly confident it will save money.
Easy to use although a label was stuck right over the instructions, unhelpfully. I can feel it is trapping warmth inside so it must be helping a bit with efficiency. Recommended.

The quality of the cylinder jacket
The cylinder jacket was a little bigger than I expected but with a bit of effort managed to fit it on the hot water tank, it certainly does the job of insulating and keeping the water hot. If anyone needs a new cylinder jacket for their hot water tank, I would certainly would recommend Plum Pak Insul1 Cylinder jacket.

A good buy to save you money.
Before installing this jacket I had a tank which was insulated when new, so I can't really give any figures as to what this jacket saves me at present.I've now had it fitted for about a month, and it really does as is advertised and keeps the water warmer, I say warm, I should say very hot.I'm a nutcase for good insulation, and having the factory insulation plus this cylinder jacket does exactly what I expect.Kitchen foil is a good insulation around pipes etc, so before fitting the jacket, I used a carpet spray to lightly spray the jacket while flat on the floor, and stuck some foil to the inner side before fitting. The carpet spray had no ill effects on the jacket, and as far as I'm concerned, added to the job it does and keeps my domestic hot water hotter for longer.FOIL? I lined my loft with kitchen foil before laying my loft insulation, and after lagging all the open pipes in the loft, I sprayed lightly with carpet spray and stuck foil around the pipe lagging.Don't forget to do the same with foil behind you radiators, cut your foil, spray it, and stick it to the wall, it not only saves you cash, it makes the room feel warmer and you feel happier.Good insulation can take a bit of time and in some instances cost a bit of money, but with kitchen foil at about £5 for a larger roll, and carpet spray at about the same or cheaper, it's well worth it.

fits
Not sure how efficient it is, and the provided strings are useless. But pretty much fix and forget. Seems OK.

Good tank insulation
An important aspect to me is a hot water cylinder and airing cupboard so when I needed a new boiler I insisted that be kept. All work was done and I got the new jacket, which I must say is very good. Unfortunately, new boilers work with a lot more pressure and when the system wasn’t working it exposed that my cylinder had a small leak. A few hundred pounds later and a new tank I’m told I don’t need the jacket now. I suppose I should of got the combi boiler in the first place!!
