Good book, especially since it's a Kindle book. However, wish the author didn't use now outdated terms such as "homosexuals," "homosexual lifestyle," and "lifestyles. Author needs to eliminate the appearance of bias and update this to reflect current viewpoints, political correctness, and recent Supreme Court and circuit court rulings.

Just finished with my educational law class for my masters. This book is VERY repetitive but the chapters are organized well and it has tons of valuable information. I wish it had more factual court case examples.

I teach grad level courses in school law. I used editions 2 and 3 of this text and edition 4 is much improved. Will use it for first time April 25 until late June (2009). I suspect my 24 students will like it too.Update as of November, 2010. My students did love it, as I predicted!I have been invited to teach again in spring of 2011, but some personal issues, unfortunately preclude me from accepting that invite.

This book is a great tool for anyone working in the schools. Includes case studies, discussion/reflection questions, and laws to live by. There are many times when as an educator I question whether something is being done right, and this book tells me everything I need to know. I highly recommend this book.

This is a practical and easy-to-read book for any person needing to know more about school law. It has section summaries, case studies, discussion scenarios, and what-to-do style guides. This is a book I keep in my desk as a teacher and will keep close as I move up through the school system.

This book is actually an easy read and it gets to the point. The only downfall I see is that there are not term definitions for most of the legal terms. I found many of the cases up to date and relevant to any school setting.

Well it was used and very obvious so I don't love it but thanks for the book!

Actually, I bought this book because it is required for my class and I found it very good book and contains many valuable information about education
