It works as designed
I finally decided I needed a sous vide. Do I really? It is a question for the ages I suppose. It is convenient for getting certain more delicate items to temperature without over cooking them and drying them out into shoe leather. My chicken breast and fish are moist and perfectly done every time.It is relatively straight forward to use. Set the temp, set the time, hit the start button (twice I think) and away you go. Plunk your bagged food in as soon as the water reaches temperature for best results, or be lazy and drop it while the cooker heats the water up.You are going to need and ample pot, and some sort of sous vide bags to go with this. I got some reusable sous vide bags with a vacuum pump thing-which works OK. I didn't want to get a sealer with single use plastic bags because that is not good for the environment. YMMV. You do you.I also recommend getting a sous vide cover for your large pot to save on energy (heat leaking away out the top of the pot during your long cooking times). I got an 11-inch silicone cover (can handle heat and is durable) with a cut out for the sous vide for my spaghetti pot. I did not want a large plastic uni-tasker sous vide pot oinking up space in my kitchen. I store this lid with all my other thin flat objects, much easier than a giant pot.

HANDY and economical
These bags are really handy to have. They work well with my foodsaver handheld vacumn. They keep my veggies really fresh and are reusable.

Vacuum seal
Make sure that the air hole is clean and dry before trying to pump the air out, I was experienced difficulty with the first bag.

Best way to cook a small prime rib.
Season it. Smear softened butter all over it. Seal it in the bag. Dial in your temp and time and immerse in water. When time is up, a quick sear on all sides, let it rest. Eat it. Great way to cook.

Convenient, but wish the bags were wider and easier to clean
Having used these bags several times with my new Joule, I do like having reusable bags for my sous vide cooking needs. That being said, I do wish the larger bags were wider in size and a bit bigger. I hardly use the smaller bags. I tried using the white clips to help seal the bags but didn't find these white clips all that effective in doing that. Instead I used my fingers and manually pressed to make sure the bags were sealed. Most of the time the vacuum pump worked to pull air out of the bag, but as another reviewer mentioned, one must position the pump carefully over the hole or it's not effective. Also, if one has oils or liquids in the bag, then this liquid can get pulled up when sucking air out of the bag also. I'm not sure if having oils/liquids inside the bag impact the hole where the vacuum pump works. I found these bags hard to clean if using oils in the bag but didn't try cleaning with baking soda paste yet.

Don’t waste your money
Las bolsas duran muy poco. No se pueden reutilizar varias veces. Dejando de sellar. No recomiendo este producto para nada.Voy a comprar la selladora de temperatura

Great price on these bags
I don't use these for sous vide. I use them for storage. I find the smaller bags to be fairly worthless, especially for vegetables that tend to be bulky. These larger bags work for nearly everything and are much easier to fill and remove the air from. These bags are identical to others I've received, but a much better value. Love the fact that all 20 are the same large size.

Must have for every kitchen, even your RV!
June 2023 - My second Joule and i ordered it because i regretted leaving the original Joule at home. First night we had perfectly cooked whole new carrots with garlic and reheated frozen turkey patties I had sous vide and froze at home. The next day I sous vide a picanah beef roast. Used steak seasoning on it and grilled it. Last night i grilled the seasoned pork ribs that i also sous bide before we left. Used the Breville Joule to heat them then BBQ’d them with our family BBQ sauce. Great meals for having to cook on the road. Can’t wait to put Turbo to the test when I get home. Maybe sooner.
