I have one in hall closet so that when you open door, it comes on automatically when I open the door.The other is in the hall so if I walk in the middle of the night, I don't trip on anything.This bulb is very bright. 120W equivalent.I like the brightness in the hall closet, but wish I could dim it in the hall itself.It would be nice to adjust the time on delay, but it is pretty good for general needs.The dog is large enough to activate consistently, the cats are iffy, much less than 50%.On an 8' ceiling it seems to activate at about 8-10 feet.

This product works well. The color description (3000K) seemed accurate and it has good level of brightness. I was not able to mount it to ceiling in the most ideal way but even then it'd detect the motion reliably and turn on/off as described. So I think that's a good point. I assume it'll work well in the ideal scenarios much better.

I installed 3 of them in sequence on the path from inside my garage to my back door. It's great! They light up as I move through the space. They aren't as bright as the switched lights, but there is plenty of light to safely see.

We have had a bunch of motion light bulbs in our garage. None of them had the range for the motion sensor that these do. We open the door and walk into the garage, boom they go on! And they are bright! When our house is built there was no light switch put in the garage to turn lights on. So we tried lots of different lights. These are by far the best lights we’ve ever had! This is the second set I purchased for the closets in my house after I got tired of my daughter always forgetting to turn off the lights. Works well - I tried another brand that was way too sensitive. This one was perfect. It comes on when I'm close enough so I don't have to wait to see and if I stay in my closet to long, I just wave my arms when it turns off and the light comes back on. Highly recommend.

The bulbs work after I just installed them. But the following day and day after, I even wave my hand or walk underneath or around within 2, 5, or 10 feet away or further maybe 15 or 20 feet away, and they won't turn on. There are two dimmer light bulbs in the area and I want these sensor bulbs to add light if motion is detected, but unfortunately they don't turn on. I called Amazon to return them today.

Won't work where I bought it for the socket by the door because it's in glass and won't detect and as far as energy efficiency I just got it so don't know about that yet

It is nice and bright. It helped my customer .It is little bit sensitive and catches motion from outside the walking ckiset, but you can put some clear tape on the eye to reduce sensitivity

These bulbs are working great. I had other bulbs with motion detection and they even turned on when I was in another room next to it.Not this one. And it is also not getting awfully hot.I got the warm light and it it illuminating the room very well just like a normal LED light.Will buy it again.

I used this for the basement laundry room and stairs to the second floor...brightness is fantastic and I like the motion detection system..no need to turn on and off the power switch. Very convenient my children go up and down the main floor and basement every hour.

It has been difficult to find a good combo dusk-to-dawn and PIR motion sensing LED bulb, and at a reasonable price. My initial testing indicates that these two bulbs both work as expected. They don't turn on during daylight hours - and once it is dark outside, they motion sense and turn on for about 30-45 seconds before turning off again. The light is bright white, which is what I want.The bulbs are installed outdoors in pot lamp fixtures (open bottom) in the porch/patio ceiling - so they are protected from rain. One is installed at the front door porch, and the other is installed at the back porch/patio. Distance of detection is partially dependent on how high up in the pot lamp the bulbs recede. The deeper into the pot lamp the shorter the radius of detection. The farther out the pot lamp they protrude, the wider the detection area - simple line of sight physics.I'm only giving this bulb set 4 stars for now because they are new. Time will tell how reliable they remain for the long term. If they perform like this for the long term, I will change the rating in the future as appropriate.

I bought one of these 2 packs and the one that I use at the front door is now dead. the one I use in the basement has always had terrible motion detection settings. I would be standing under the light or near the light and it would go out so I would start waving my hands everywhere and it does not go back on. I would have to leave the room wait a min and then come back in and it would turn on. super frustrating do not buy!!

While the these are quality bulbs, they won't pick up motion if they are installed in a short outdoor light fixture, especially if the fixture isn't hung 12+ feet above the ground.
