can I use it for a monkey bar??

With enough creativity and proper construction skills, you could. But its not really designed for that. For example, the edges that attach the bar to a surface have fairly large flanges that might be awkward in a monkey bar construction.

What is the weight limit if people are hanging on this?

It's not really made to hang on but rather to swing yourself into position on a slide. Having said that it should easily handle any kind provided you have decent length lag bolts securely screwed into the wood.

I need to install this on a door frame one inch wide for my husband to get into the house. Would this work?

I used them for the kids to climb a ladder to the monkey bars. With good bolts, I can use them and I am 300#.
