this knife is incredible! It fits my hand perfectly and is the sharpest knife I have ever owned. It cuts paper just like you see on all of the knife sharpening videos! I highly recommend this knife to any hunter out there. Even the gut hook cut paper just like the regular blade!!!

EZ to sharpen and holds a great edge for a good many uses . LITTLE KNOWN FACT : THE GUTHOOK WORKS VERY WELL FOR OPENING A BAG OF CHIPS! I am seriously thrilled to own this finely made Buck knife. I’ve never owned a Buck knife before this knife. Receiving this knife and researching the company I was impressed. After hunting season, using this knife I realize I should have known about Buck a long time ago. This knife is easy to handle and manipulate while dressing, it holds a great edge through the whole process. Clean up is a breeze, and setting the edge for the next round is easy. It’s not often a company stands for their product and faith in this age.

I have several knives, but they seem to get dull way to soon. So I looked at this knife because of the higher rated steel. What a huge difference. This hunting season I used it on an elk, my deer and a friends deer. After each use I did a quick field sharpening with an inexpensive unit. It was great, and the gut hook worked very well. Also, it has a good non slip handle.

I'm very impressed with this knife. Buck is usually seen as a more budget brand, but this one will compete with far more expensive knives. The grip is excellent and ergonomic, holding it both ways. The blade is razor sharp. The orange handle of course means a higher quality steel than the standard 440 and if you should drop it in the field, the bright orange is easier to see. I look forward to seeing how it performs in the field!!

Outstanding knife!! I will be only buying Buck knives from now on, these knives have excellent craftsmanship resulting in a well balanced knife, made out of highest quality materials.

Feels great in the hand and is slip-resistant. Passed the paper test on all parts of the knife including the gut-hook, as expected. It has a nice edge and can also shave hair off the arm. The weight and size feels great to me. I love the high visibility orange, makes it easier to find and handle in low light situations. I also like the predrilled hole on the handle and I will likely put some paracord through it to avoid loosing it overboard on a boat, etc. The steel is S35VN and is better than the similar Buck knife that costs $70; it keeps a very sharp edge and is easy to hone. I'd recommend also buying some sort of ceramic rod to hone the edge after use. Plus you have to love the lifetime warranty and that it’s made in the USA! This would make a great quality gift to any outdoorsman.
