I purchased this book and a plush squid for my 5 year old grandson. He loves them both and he can now tell us all about squids. Very educational and easy to understand.

My 6-year old son loves giant squid and this book captured his imagination. It has a lot of great information about giant squid along with cool pictures for him to look at. Very well done.

if you child loves giant squids but does not know much about it, this is a great introduction, full of facts.if you child does not know about giant squid, and you want to introduce deep sea life and this mysterious creature, then this book is perfect. it is fun and engaging.It has all the basic facts and is entertaining. I think this is best for 5/6 year old children.

For my 4 year old to go with the squid he wanted for Christmas...I really just wanted a basics about squids - facts and figures for kids. This provided some history as well. It was fine.
