Very effective fire rod
The whole kit is excellent. Love the necklace.The main ferral rod gives lots of sparks. It would be hard not to start a fire !

Super fast delivery, got major sparked in 2 minutes
Dont normally review, but this was different..Incredible fast delivery in less than 24 hours.No instructions supplied, but none really needed apart from.....1 Scrape the black paint from the rod with the steel until you can see a patch of silver clearly2 If you get no spark initially, change the angle of the steel against the rodAny doubts, you tube will help youI spent the little bit extra for a 'name' product, and dont regret it one bit - Thoroughly recommend

Worked well
Used with Cubs and Scouts on a weekend camp for firelighting practice. Did the job and the kids found them easy to use after a bit of practice.

Persevere its worth it.
I tried these with no success but they were a gift for our Grandson. Was worried they may not work. He had one before which he had worn out. No need to worry they are at least as good as his old one if not better. Given to him on his 7th birthday he is very happy with them. He is quiet responsible with them reminding us he does not use them in an open environment but confining their use to a small space either in a bucket or surrounded with bricks. Astute for a youngster. Great product that works well (with patience).

Received 2 of these and gotta say, they are superb. I've never seen a shower of sparks like these. Okmyou have to remove the top layer of varnish / covering to get to the material but, which is dead easy btw, use the striker and bingo. Mover the 5th all over again. A shower of sparks that lit some dryer tinder I had set aside for a quick test. And love the chunky handle as well. You can get a firm grip on these.The little bag that came with these is suberb as well. Would have been nice to have 2, 1 for each striker and room for tinder, but, having said that, I would buy again. Looks and feels quality. Well done guys. Super stuff.
