Install Bay 89-00-9031 ABS Plastic 12 X 12 X 1/8-Inch

The Install Bay 89-00-9031 ABS Plastic 12" x 12" x 1/8" was an good purchase. The ABS plastic square was better than expected. It was not exactly 12" x 12". It actually was 11 13/16" x 11 13/16" on the one I received, but it was not an issue for me. The square looks pretty good, and it is perfect for my needs. The square was textured very nicely on one side. The other side is shiny smooth. I assume the smooth side is considered the back of the square. And, the textured side is considered the front of it. But, you can use either side as the front for your needs. The thickness was very good. I was concerned with it being not firm enough and too soft, but it was actually very firm. The material is hard enough to cut with a saw, but soft enough so the plastic is not brittle when cut to chip crumbs all over. I recommend this ABS plastic square. The textured side is really nice. The smooth side may contain scuffs or scratches if you are hoping for a perfect shiny smooth side. The thickness is very good and nice and firm. It is soft enough to saw or drill cleanly. This was a very good purchase for me, and I am very happy with it.

I bought this to make a mount for my Auxbeam gang switch panel. It’s easy to work with I was able to cut it doing a few passes with a box cutter. Nothing fancy by any means but it gets the job done.

This is a high quality ABS sheet and I am very happy with the sturdiness and value of it. In fact, I just placed another order to use on my next project. Beware however that the panel I received was slightly under 12 inches. This was not an issue for me, but if you need the full 12 inches for whatever you are working on, you may need to buy a size up or look for a different brand.

I ordered this 1/8" ABS panel to install the button for my doorbell with the doorbell sign. People were having trouble seeing the doorbell. The doorbell was blending in with the wall. I cut the panel through the proper size and installed the doorbell button and sign. This is an exterior installation of the panel. The panel has worked perfect for this application. Very easy to cut just scored with a razor knife. Then sanded the edges. Very easy to drill.

cuts and functions as expected

I got these to use as fenders for my wheelchair. They were easy to mark for the outline and easy to cut with a dremel tool. It did melt but hey, its plastic. Sanded the rough edges and they hold us fantastic and for a ton less than factory fenders and just as sturdy.

I've always been into custom car audio and 12volt projects but never been good with woodworking. Then along came ABS sheets. I needed to create an L bracket to mount a ham radio under my drivers seat in my truck. The factory bracket made the radio sit too high. I looked at aluminum strapping but it looked cheesy and made the radio more noticeable due to the aluminum color. So I had this 12x12 sheet of 1/8" on my bench and went to town. I was able to cut it with a knife and mould it around the body of the radio after heating it up with my mini torch. Super easy, looks staright from the factory, and is more solid than the flimsy mount that Kenwood supplied. I ended up buying 3 more sheets because I know I will be using this on future projects. Amazon had the best pricing for these sheets that I could find online. Do yourself a favor and buy more than one, you will find a way to put it to use!

Never worked with ABS like this before, but it was simple enough. Cut pretty easily and after it was hit with a heat gun it formed well. The textured black plastic blends in well with other oem items.

I bought one of these to create a bezel for a micro-arcade cabinet I built. The material is good quality and easy to work with. To get straight lines, you simply need to score it with a very sharp knife and snap it with a pair of pliers. One side is a pebbled leatherette texture, while the other side is smooth. The usable side is the textured surface.

Excelente material, lo usé en la consola de mi camioneta. Aunque no se ve oem si da muy buen aspecto, se puede perforar y moldear perfectamente

Perfect for my project! It Is a very strong piece of flexible plastic that looks like a giant floor tile haha.
