It arrived wrapped in a black plastic not much different from a trash bag, so there was no attempt to protect its structure. Of course it was dented and creased when I opened it up. The creased portion started breaking when I attempted to massage it into shape.

States that it is traditionally made, but the inside head liner is cheap plastic (mine is cracked ) held in place by zip ties and accompanied by an orange, nylon, shoe string for wrapping around your chin. It came shipped in a bag and arrived very misshapen and cracked.

I am only mediocre about this hat. It’s cool looking and well made. However, it’s much larger than expected and when it arrived it was shipped in a plastic bag, with no padding. I don’t know if it got smooshed or what, but it was oval shaped and not round. It just looks a little crooked and cheapens the quality workmanship.

So, like many other people have said, the packaging does not help support the hat. It came all warped and I have been trying to crease it back into proper shape since I got it. Also, the plastic piece which is supposed to support the hat and sit on your head is a bit small. It seems like it is more for a child than an adult.Overall , it is OK.

My son wanted one of these hats... He has interesting taste in items from various geographic locations. This is a very authentic item, packed beautifully and came much earlier than expected. Would order from this company again!

Nice hat but I've regretted this purchase as I don't even wear it at all. I just purchased it because of a TMNT arc with Usagi Yojimbo, who wore a hat similar to this one. Also I hate how fragile the material is.

i bought for my bother as a gift and he is so happy , he said is very comfortable and also that his face and neck are always protected from the sun

Not entirely durable, but still very nice. Great wall decor! Works well for blocking sun! Good party hat as well.
