This review comes a few years after I bought this product for my elderly mother. Not sure exactly what year I bought this, but it was pre-covid. My mom lives about 450 miles away from me, and was in the habit of taking long walks by herself, some in populated areas and some in wooded trails along a river. She was using a lightweight broom handle as a walking stick and I wanted something sturdier, so I ordered her this stick as a gift. Initially, it was "too heavy," and "too tall". Eventually she tried it. Fell in love with it. Two years ago, my mom was in the hospital and they dropped her, resulting in major mobility issues. She needed a ramp at the house to get in and out. Difficulty taking stairs. That is when this walking stick really became her lifesaver. She uses it every single day. To the point where the tip has worn out several times, and she uses the tip from a crutch as a replacement. She carries it everywhere, from art class to shopping at the store. Everyone comments on how much they like it. Many men included. The best part is that it allows her to keep her spine vertical, without having to bend over to put her weight on a cane. This stick is helping to keep her independent, and healthy, without having to resort to a walker or a cane. Without it, I don't think she would be able to stay in her home of over 50 years.I would highly recommend this as an alternative to a cane for someone with some mobility issues. I know its not the intended use, but many seniors don't want to use a cane or a walker. This allows them to balance their weight better without leaning all the time.So, for me, this is 5 stars, it literally has been a lifeline for my mom. Thank you.

Everything is as advertised. First walking stick I ever bought. Having lost a walking stick I've had for twenty years. It was one that I made and it served me well.. It was delivered promptly after I ordered it. And exactly what I need. I did order one taller that I need so I can adjust it if need be. PERFECT.

I love this new walking aid! I've been using walking aids for 30 years because of back issues, knee problems, and now balance problems walking. I got the 55" twisted hickory and had 4 1/2" cut off the bottom. Then I wrapped the handle grip in 550 paracord. It is light weight but hefty-I don't feel like I'm going to fall as I relearn how to walk at 52. It is very quiet because of the rubber tip. It seems water resistant out of the box as rain water beads on the stick but I put 2 light coats of leather boot otter wax on it and the wood absorbed this over 2 days and now shines even more!

Pretty heavy for a woman but very pretty

Being disabled makes outside walking difficult so I've always used sticks I find - I was grateful to find this affordable quality walking stick that helps me not feel so unsteady

This stick is beautiful and super comfortable to use. The hand grip fits my hand perfectly.
