I cannot find fault with this. I was slightly cautious after reading some criticism, but can only confirm the positive reviews. So, after years of spending sometimes 20USD+ per day for a sunbed and parasol I have cracked it with this parasol. And it goes in my suitcase. Yes, if you have no understanding at all of how a screw works, for instance the securing screw to hold the parasol in position on the pole (to stop it rotating in the wind) then you could mess it up. The securing screw is nylon/plastic type. But it is large and well-made. But I can see that people who have no practical knowledge at all and no common-sense could strip it - as is possible with all screws. But that would be down to user-stupidity. Not the product. Just do not keep on turning the screw/retainer. This is a well-made super-product. Twice the price of some, but many times superior.

Fit in a large suitcase really practical and strong

I bought a blue AMMSUN 6.5ft Twice Folded Portable Beach Umbrella, item came from Amazon in America.Not a low cost, had hoped some extra strength in the plastics, but it seems well made.The umbrella is quite low, ok to sit under in a lower chair, as well as lie on a towel.Otherwise pleased with the way it folds down, so very easy to carry with you. That is the major advantage.The screw part is also longer than standard, so a nice firm secure point to hold the pole in place.4.5 stars out of 5, just hope it lasts a long time.

This is the second one we have purchased, we now have the 1 and 2 pole version, they are so versatile and light weight they go everywhere with us.

This umbrella is absolute rubbish. Please don’t buy it. We used it for the first time today on the beach (since purchasing it), and in a mild wind, it kept folding because the catch was clearly inadequate. It then turned inside out and one of the spokes snapped. To make matters worse, there were far cheaper umbrellas on the beach that managed the conditions perfectly.
