Worth the money!
I have had several long shoe horns and this one is the best. Not only is it sturdy but it's contoured perfectly (my opinion) to assist your foot into place. I'm a large man 6'4''and over 260 lbs with a size 15 foot/shoe and I'm in need of a hip replacement so I've exerted some serious stress on this shoe horn and so far it has handled everything I've thrown at it with aplomb. I need a slight knee bend to use it but even with the bad hip it I haven't found it difficult to use at all. Some reviews have complained about this shoehorn being too narrow for their heels. I don't have a narrow foot by any stretch and I haven't found the design to be an issue at all. I replaced the 16" blueCostco with this OrthoStep which is not only easier from a reach perspective but the metal fatigued and bent on (2) BlueCostco shoehorns shortly after purchase. I have only had the OrthoStep 24" for 20 days but it's better design and harder metal compound has served me much better and hopefully longer than any other long handle shoe horn I've had. If it doesn't I'll update this review.

Very beautiful but not very useful.
Too heavy. Difficult to hold on to. It has slipped out of my hand many times, sometime hitting my toe and hurting it. The hand grip is too shallow for good grip to keep it from slipping out of my hand. The finish is beautiful but I did not buy it for looks. The sharp edges of the horn cut into my heel when I put my shoes on. Aluminium would be a better choice because it would be lighter and easier to grip. I made a bad choice.

Solid heavy duty metal so it won't break
This is a very nice shoe horn, I definitely recommend it. Solid heavy duty metal so it won't break like my last one did. The bronze color is very nice too/ different.

This is truly an excellent and well-made product and based on my initial experience ...
Out of all the things I've ever ordered on the internet this is in a very small portion, that far exceed my expectations. Well it's not as highly-polished of a gold finish as I expected the rest of its qualities far make up for this deficiency. First of all is substantially more solid than I had initially thought it would have been and seems to be made out of actually decent metal. It feels substantial and is very smooth. It works on my stiff black oxfords ankle high dress boots and even Converse high tops. This is truly an excellent and well-made product and based on my initial experience it should last me some good many years.

Good length for a 6' 2" guy
I purchased this long handle (24") shoehorn because frankly I'm starting to find it harder to bend down to put shoes and slippers on. The length is prefect for me and the shoehorn is excellent quality If anything the Orthostep is over engineered. It's probably heavier/stronger than it needs to be. I've tried using it with workboots but the size of the horn is a little large to get in a boot with my foot. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and it looks great hanging in the closet. The shoes visible in the picture are NOT my shoes! :)

Stylish and Useful Shoe Horn
I have owned several shoe horns in my life. Plastic and metal ones which you find at most shoe stores. This shoe horn appealed to me because of the length. I have been using it for a few months now and I love it. It is incredibly convenient and easy to use. The style of this tool is beautiful. Even my wife found it appealing. The weight of this shoe horn is substantial. One could use it as a weapon. I was impressed by the quality for the price paid. Great deal.

Solid, Beautiful Design, Will Last a Lifetime!
This thing is awesome! Feels very sturdy, solid metal and beautiful finish. It almost looks like a piece of art! Will last a lifetime. It's a bit heavy since it's solid metal, but I personally like that feeling. I also added a lanyard to the handle opening to hang in the closet.

Excellent Quality for Value
I'm a fan of reviews, and generally when researching a product read the negative reviews first because 5 star reviews are frequently from first day users. Today I'm a first day review writer.CONS:While it weighs in at only 13¾ ounces, it feels heavy. The finish is lightly brushed and I can see as I age and my grip continues to diminish that some day I'll have trouble using it. That's the worst thing I can say about it.PROS:You'll never break or bend it putting on your shoes unless you fall down the stairs with it. Even then you'll not likely damage it, but suffer some damage yourself. The edges are nicely rounded over. If you have trouble putting your foot in a shoe with this then your shoe is too small. If you're a ballet dancer or geisha girl, this WILL probably be too big for you. The finish is of quality commensurate with the price of the unit. Yes, there's a ding or two if you hold it to the light just right. There's not a thing wrong with this gadget. I love it already.Let's be honest here. If you bought this thing you're likely getting a little rotund and have issues breathing when you bend down to put on your shoes. That's why I bought it. Or you're getting older, as am I, and need something to simplify your life. This shoe horn is it.Don't buy it for the finish or the weight. Buy it because it works like it should. I'm buying another for work.
