Art: 5/5Story: 5/5These collection of stories are from Wolverine issues 159 to 176 with 2 annuals where Wolverine battles Mr. X and is being controlled by Weapon X to kill people. These were some of my favorite stories from the Vol. 1 Wolverine run. I particularly like the Mr. X character because of his serial killer demeanor and his abilities and would love to see a lot more of him. The Weapon X stories were really good except for the part when Wolverine battles some French demon. Stupid! The art was fantastic except for the annuals which looked like someone picked their a$$ and drew with their s#!+. It's tolerable but, eh! It could of been better. Recommended TPB.

Some of the Best Wolverine Stories
These are the best Wolverine Stories of the 2000's. This is where we first started to see the movies effecting the comics, and it really was a refreshing change from what came before it.

PEAK WOLVERINE
Everything that's come after this is no comparison. This capped the peak of great wolverine stories. And put him in real peril.

Wolverine Returns to Weapon X
Wolverine is just one of those characters, that can be put into any story or timeline. In this case the series of issues is a great one for any Wolverine fan. And it's also in FULL COLOR!

Excellent run on Wolverine by Tieri!
When I first started reading comic books in the mid-90s, I was never a huge Wolverine fan. I enjoyed the character in the X-Men comics and cartoon, but never really read much of his solo title. I first started picking up Wolverine on a monthly basis with the first issue in this collection, issue #159. The reason why I picked up the issue was for the cover art for the issue (which coincidentally is also the cover art for this trade paperback). It was drawn by one of my favourite artists, Sean Chen, who had just wrapped up a run on Iron Man with Kurt Busiek. His artwork is the highlight of this series of issues, as Frank Tieri weaves a variety of fun yarns, which are at their apex when involving the newest incarnation of Weapon X.From a value standpoint, this collection is quite well priced, at only $31.34 for 20 issues and over 500 pages worth of Canucklehead action. Tieri introduces a short-lived super-prison known as "The Cage", develops a resurgent new iteration of Weapon X (which would then leap into its own short-lived ongoing series), and introduces a favourite villain of mine, Mr. X, who was later utilized in the post-Ellis Thunderbolts. The book IS a product of its time, as near the end of the collection Wolverine starts wearing black leather, like he did not just in the X-Men movies, but also the X-Men comics of the time, thanks to Grant Morrison's run on New X-Men bleeding over into other corners of the X-verse. Sabretooth's new look was different at the time, but ultimately short-lived (although he's struggled for a visual identity over the past decade). With all that being said, it remains a fun romp, with some mystery and intrigue, and a lot of Wolverine action!

Great Logan character arc!
I really enjoyed this Logan story. A proper continuation of Wolverine’s part in the Weapon X storyline. Also, fantastic packaging by the seller. Couldn’t be happier!
