Very thick
Works well but really thick. Needs to be thinned with gamsol.

Really Impressed!
Great quality product! No issues. You’ll definitely want to thin it down with quite a bit of terpenoid. I applied it with a foam brush but wouldn’t be opposed to trying their squeegee. Someone else mentioned the label was on upside down… well… it is… because if you read the directions you’re supposed to store it upside down. A great move by the company to get stores to display their product the way they intended!

Dented can
Product is usable, but the 16 oz can came with the Gamblin label upside down and a rather large dent. Looking back at other reviews, there's either a problem with this item or I got the can that was returned by multiple other people.

Don’t need to test it to know it’s good
it’s the best and safest oil ground out there so it gets 5 stars just for showing up to my house. the rublev one has lead in it so i don’t buy it (it’s also more expensive). lead isn’t that bad but i don’t risk it. for nontoxic oil painting at a cheaper price, this is the way to go

A must for oil painting
It provides a better surface for oil painting than commercial provided priming.

Nice paste.
I needed really white and this paste delivered. Because of the oil used, dry time is in 2 week range per thick coat so expect to take a long time to apply the 2-4 coats.

White Out
I needed the ground to cover parts of an old canvas. The ground performed beautifully. Two thin coats and the magic was done. Easy cleanup with terp.

I was skeptics at first ! I have prepared canvas wood panels and linen with this . I haven’t painted in it yet . Paints on surface like silk be sure to thin with gamsol thinner first though . Excellent product will buy again !!

Used it this morning, lovely and thick, need to apply with a blade, tried my Meissen blade but took a lot to clean it off. Have purchased a dedicated Gamblin ground spreader to use in future, (can't help myself a tool junky) .

It is alright, nothing special but was taken back by the label being on upside down. This wouldn’t fly in quality control and I’m thinking this is either a dupe, scam or used product. Buyers beware.
