Works great and it allows you to watch anything from your iPhone and Ipad on any TV that has a HDMI port!I even watch DIRECTV through my DIRECTV app on any TV. It’s a must have especially in a place where there is not a internet connection like in rural areas or just any place with no internet.It just all depends on the type of service you get though if there is no internet connection. But, it all boils down to if you can watch it on your iPhone then you can watch it on a tv with this device. It just simply mirrors whatever is showing up on your iPhone screen. So, as soon as you plug it into your iPhone and then plug it into the TV you will immediately see whatever your screen on your iPhone is displaying!I take this with me every time I travel just Incase the hotel, vacation home, lakehouse, or anywhere that might not have internet, good Wi-Fi signal, or just Incase the place I’m at happens to loose internet service for a while or something? Just remember to invest in a lengthy hdmi cord so you can use it while you are in bed or sitting on the couch.Lastly, since it has a charging port on it which is the best part I might add due to the battery consumption that streaming videos takes up on a phone. It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to buy a iPhone chargrging cord (usb to lightning cord) that is much longer than the standard iPhone charging cord. If you want to use the long hdmi cord to use it while in bed or on the couch and you don’t have it charging then it’s pointless to even use the long hdmi cord or even the device itself. You don’t want to be using this and then go out and your phone is almost dead or if you want to use the device to watch something on the tv and your phone is almost dead. My point is you never know where the outlets are going to be in a place you have never been and you are wanting to have it on the nightstand or just close to you so you don’t have to get up and go hit pause, play, or switch to something else to watch.I hope this was thorough enough and helps answer any questions some of you might have. But, I promise this plays any streaming app your tv so please do not listen to anyone saying that it doesn’t because they are for some reason lying or they just have no idea what they are talking about?!

1st off I managed to get this to work, but it took installing an app, uninstalling, reinstalling, using Developer features of Android and then each time you unplug and plug you have to mess with the USB settings... First time I got it to work it froze.Problem 2, you can not screen mirror anything from Movies Anywhere, Google Play, etc. Those require Chromecast, so your only option is locally saved movies that are not through those apps or Plex. I did not try Hulu cause I had enough by that time.At the end of the day, still no solution to cast to a TV without an Internet connection that I can find. Trying to do this for our Camper to make digital viewing easier.

I cannot deny that it works and if your phone doesn't really support sending an HDMI signal out of the device, this is probably the only way this can go over a cable. But it does require developer options, usb debugging, sometimes usb tethering to make it work. Frankly that makes me uncomfortable since usb debugging sends all kinds of info out of your device. Considering that you use the manufacturer's app with the cable, it just is too suspicious to me. The connection itself sometimes seemed to timeout- if that happens I found I had to quit the app and launch it again. I never tried it with iOS so I'm not sure if that works.I also didn't like how hot the cable end got.

The description of the product said 6.6 ft and it’s length is definitely not 6.6 ft from hdmi to usb. I can’t reach what I needed to with this length, it’s more like 3 ft and the seller used the length only from the cables spread between male and female usb connections and not the hdmi that I needed.

Did not work without downloading the Ez cast app, but once I download the app it worked perfectly, so make sure to download Ez cast app for Android if you run into the same problem. Other than that worked perfectly great for the price. I would have had to pimp out my wife and mortgage my out my double wide and stop smoking crack rocks to buy it at Best Buy.

Even though I was able to stream the picture from my phone I wasn't able to stream movies as I thought I could. To even stream the picture I had to download 2 different apps for it to work, which was pretty annoying.

Connects fine with my roommate's iPhone 8, but I tried everything under the sun and absolutely could not get it to connect to my Samsung Galady S7. It's version 8.0.0, so it's supposed to work but I tried every tip and help video they have but it absolutely would not connect. I downloaded the EZ cast app and riddled my phone with unnecessary data, downloads and apps that did NOT work. Don't buy this if you have an android or samsung, it will absolutely not work.

Find other better product, yes this is affordable but its not working! Its a waste of time. Also it is not a plug and play, you will need to download apps before you could use it which is a hassle. If you want hdmi for your phone, find a different item not this!
