Easy to use
This item is exactly as advertised. I wanted a ball marker I could use to draw a line around the entire circumference of a golf ball, and this marker allows me to do so easily. It also accommodates a “medium” line marking pen.

What more could you ask for? It does the job. Do not expect a rugged last forever item. It's plastic. BUT it does exactly what it says it will do. Keep it at home, on rainy (or snowy) days, mark a few sleeves of ball with this and you will be happy!

Tip doesn't fit
The chisel tip Sharpie does not fit the line.

Not the easiest to use; tip does not fit groove
Not the easiest marking aid to use. Broad tip provided (Sharpie chisel tip) must be used at an angle, almost in line, end to end, along groove... if marking a single line, approximately 1/3rd of the ball's circumference, marking that line works relatively well. If wanted a line around the entire ball... difficult to reposition and ensure 100% alignment...

I use the line on my ball to line up both my putts and my drives. I was finding the thinner lines were not enough when putting, but this item produces a thicker line, much easier, and I have found it helps me to line up the putt much better.
