Does not fit the g5 5587
They just came in, and as I was about to replace mine old one with these new one, they turned out to be the wrong size for my Dell g5 5587 gaming laptop. So just a heads up, but good for spare parts for a different project.

The computer growls occasionally...
The wifes laptop was starting to make bad fan noises, so I ordered these. drop in replacement; very easy. slightly different though; before when the computer would wake up on occasion it would "siiigh", now it growls slightly. otherwise handling gaming demands quite well.
