Exceeded Expectations
I purchased the unit at the end of October and wanted to wait a bit before providing a review.First my small complaints.1. Seat is just not the most comfortable. It's a good seat, racing style but just not for me. Remedy is easy, buying a cruiser seat and replacing which is what I will do. Others may find it fine. There are also gel covers for extra comfort regardless.2. It has/had a most annoying rear brake squeal. I'll assume like with a car disc setup there are occasions where the disc brake pad is somewhat out of alignment which makes the same noise. It has diminished and last ride I did not hear it. I was going to simply adjust the brake if the noise had persisted. That's it. Small complaints, small remedies. The positive. Everything else! The bike has three modes, regular riding (single speed), pedal assist, total electric. In the electric mode you have three speeds. Lower the speed the better the battery life. I've reached 19.6 mph on a slight downhill and in the lowest speed still maintain a good 9.5 mph. Speeds will of course vary by rider weight and terrain. The pedal assist function is strictly for hills/grades. Assisting the motor to 'power up' the grade. If you ride on a level surface and pedal, the motor will kick in and you'll not be able to pedal as quickly as the bike will be traveling. It folds easily yet be warned it weighs in at 40+ pounds. There's not locking mechanism in the folded position so when traveling a good bungee cord wrap keeps it secure. The battery is replaceable which was one of the reasons I made this purchase. The battery compartment is lockable and easily accessible. The replacement batteries are not yet available.I've had decent range with lower draw on the battery in the low setting (1). Speeds two and three increase the speed but curtail the distance accordingly. Again based upon rider weight and geography. It has a front headlight that is quite bright yet I've gotten a bright set of front and rear LED's. Also a horn that is somewhat wanting. It's a fun bike to ride and turns heads often. I find it fun to just leisurely turn the pedals while the bike is bolting along at 15 mph and look at the reactions of my neighbors and on the roadway. Nothing but good things to say about this bike. Also, the price. You can easily spend a whole lot more for not much less, if anything. Swagtron hosts a website for its products, warranty, owners manuals, contact information.Highly recommend.

EB7 HAS SERIOUS QUALITY CONTROL ISSUES
Ordered a black eb7 and it arrived looking like a quality product. Noticed that the front wheel was not centered and the rear wheel was at least 1/2" to the right of center making the chain very loose. Adjusted for perfect alignment although I absolutely should NOT have had to do this. Swagtron has some serious issues with whoever is doing their assemblies.Riding is a lot of fun for a 54 year old man weighing under 130 lbs and you can achieve the 15.5 mile range on smooth roads with little incline throttle only on speed 1 which is 12.1mph. Definately takes a toll on the battery running speeds 2 and especially 3 but im not surprised and fine with it.Now I bought the first one to try out and see if it was worth it as my intention was to ride with my wife as I'm really not that interested otherwise. Basically it's either both of us or neither. So, I ordered a white one a few days later for her and it showed up with no issues. She weighs 88 lbs so if anything she would get more range than i.So we go out riding for the first time and after about 7 miles on speed 1 an error code E30 pops up on the controller. No idea what it means because the manual has no information about the codes. Bike still works but its VERY annoying because it wont allow you to see any of the other information the display will show other than speed changes and the speed just shows whatever it happened to be at when the E30 popped up. The error came and went a few times and it wouldnt pop up immediately if you shut the controller off for awhile.Looked up the code and theres a YouTube video where a guy kept saying it was popping up on him too and Swagtron told him it's a communication error between the motor and the controller. Cant be fixed on your own and would need to be sent back. So, I initiated an Amazon return and ordered another one as there was no way I was sending Swagtron the bike back out of my own pocket something that was brand new and have to wait a month for it.Got the next one and the same thing happened on the first ride (E30) plus an E25 code. No idea what that code is.On top of that, the controller shut off on her in the middle of the ride so yup, have to send it back to Amazon.Ordered the 3rd replacement that I received today and out of the box that showed no damage and was packaged perfect the front wheel was cocked to the side out of alignment. Not a scratch on it and I initially thought my eyes were playing tricks on me and it was the disc brake that was bent. Nope, the actual metal spoked wheel was crooked. Absolutely astonished by this as whoever assembled the bike had to see this issue and align the brake to fit.So, now I call and complain to Amazon that I now have to send back the third bike in a row and order another replacement and they wouldnt even exchange it themselves for me:(Had to initiate another return to pack a third one up and once again drive it to the ups store, order another one and wait another 5 days for another replacement. So, the first one works fine so far after alignment and 3 have had to be returned and now awaiting a 4th hoping beyond hope that I can get one that just works.I REALLY want another one to work as it's so worth it IF it does but its exhausting me. It's either get another that works or send the first one back too.Swagtron is NOT easy to get ahold of and to have to pay out of pocket to send them a defective unit back under warranty is disgusting. It's a beautiful bike and EVERYONE asks about it and wants one. We love them for the few miles they work......

Great build quality.
Amazed to see the buid quality. My kids are really excited and they are stars in the neighborhood now. I too have commuted to my office couple of times. I'm unable to stand sudden public attention... :)
