whats the difference between this thread and regualr cotton thread?

Cotton thread was made before these new pollster fabrics were made when everything, including the thread, shrank. Now a days you need a thread that is going to give with the fabrics and not shrink. Thus polyester thread. You can sew cotton with it, most cotton is pre-shrunk. It is recommended that if you buy cotton that you wash it before you make your item anyway, to shrink it. Polyester thread is better for today’s fabrics.

Country of origin says "United States" in the description, but the picture shows "Mexico"....why the discrepancy?

I just received this. It is not Coats and Clark. It is unevenly wound on the bobbin. No description of what it is made from. From in China, shipped to USA thru Mexico. Save your money.

Seriously! $8.49 shipping for a spool of thread that cost $1.99?

My shipping and handling was $31.99 for two spools of thread! I didn't notice until I was in checkout. That is NOT going to happen.

I won't to make waist beads whats a good thread

Don't know anything about waist beads. However, try looking in a waist bead kit on Amazon to see if they tell you what thread to use, or watch a tutorial on youtube of someone doing the craft. Good luck!
