How I did it
So, I wish there were maybe some more guidance on Hemway's website on picking the right glitter, but it's kind of hard to photograph, so I'll tell you what I did and how it ended up and what I'd do differently.1. I didn't mix it with paint, I mixed it with glaze. I originally was going to use Rustoleum glitter glaze on top of a colored paint, and the paint I already bought had primer in it. I'm not sure it'd show up if I didn't use the glaze.2. I got the ultra fine mother of pearl to go over a mid-tone pink paint. It looks nice, but it's definitely not dramatic. If there's not light shining directly on the wall, you do not notice the glitter at all. It also tends to show up more green than I'd have preferred. If I had loads of time and money, I'd have done some samples with different glitter colors and sizes and probably used a larger size or I'd have matched the paint color with the glitter color, or maybe have gone with the silver, IDK. If you can, I'd maybe get a few different packs and test them out on a board with the color you want and check it out under the light of the room you're painting.3. I would use more glitter than recommended. I ended up having to do quite a few coats to get a decent coverage of glitter. In my second can of glaze, I added more glitter than the directions recommended and I was much happier.4. Don't forget to mix well! If you think it's mixed, give it a few more stirs.5. I used a small roller and rolled it in V-patterns, blending it in small sections. This got much better results than when my husband tried to roll silver Rustoleum glitter glaze in an up and down pattern (total disaster; also wasn't mixed well enough). All in all, I'm fine with the results, it's a good product, but it would be nice if the company could show some realistic photos of what their glitter looks like against different colors or with a glaze vs in a paint or just offer more design guidance. The other customer photos are great, but I think it caused me to be a bit more subtle than was really my goal since it's hard to judge when there's not a standard baseline.

Add A little sparkle!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I did my own stained concrete floors for my glam room. I mixed with the seal, rather than paint. Hard to get a good photo and there’s a glare in the video, but I love how it turned out. There are little pinkish/purplish permanent glares in the floor from where I wanted more glitter, so I sprinkled it on top of floor seal, then spread it. This kind of “smeared” the glitter almost changing my floor stain color. From then, I stuck with mixing glitter in the seal, lesson learned! Nothing fixed those little spots. They aren’t a big deal, but I’m very anal about the details so it was upsetting. You may be able to see in the corners of the photo. I used about 2 packs.

Very Nice. Added the Sparkle that was missing.
One bag was plenty for a gallon, I used Behr Marque Turquoise and silver holographic glitter and I am very very pleased with the results, even without buffing the effect is Just Awesome. Not sure how anyone could add 3 bags of this to a gallon and not have glitter coming out there arse. Make sure You mix it very well when adding the glitter to paint and before using. I used a 2" Brush and A Foam Roller, I had no trouble with application the product was a dream to work with, did not make my paint clumpy or cause any issue once applied.

BUY THIS!!!
The pictures just don’t do this justice! The sparkle is GORGEOUS!! I used two packets of the champagne colored ultra fine glitter in about 1/4 of a gallon of sunset pink paint, and I just used a rough cloth to buff it. And it’s perfect! Turned out so much better than I expected. Pretty sure every room in my house is going to have a least one glitter wall!

Love it!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I added 2 packages of gold paint additive to 1 gallon of yellow paint and it came out beautifully. I had Home Depot shake the paint with the glitter additive to mix it up well. Sparkles just the right amount and you can see the gold glitter when you look close. Hard to get a picture that shows the sparkle, so I took a video too.

Sucks
This glitter sucks, I used 2 bags in a half of gallon of paint you barely seen any glitter on the walls. You can see it on the paint brush, but nothing on the walls at all.

When done correctly, freaking epic!!!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This stuff is AMAZING!!! I mixed 1 packet in 2/3 gallon of magical Tardis blue for my bathroom. It painted on ok, showing a little glitter. I was a little sad. I then took a scotch pad to it the next day and BAM! Freaking glitter. The video doesn’t do it justice. And there is no texture with the glitter, so future coverup wouldn’t be a problem. Although I don’t know why anyone would cover it up, it’s absolutely beautiful.

Looks Lovely
I used 100 grams in 950 grams of paint including 5 litres can (about 2.3 litres approximately, I am quite happy with the results It has a subtle effect no too flashy; I think I could have tried a 100 grams per litre ratio as per instructions to make it a bit more noticeable the effect, 4 stars only as quite pricy if you need to add glitter in a 5L can.

Does exactly what it says. Amazing product
Great product, went on easily and looks amazing on my wall. I would definitely recommend this product, will be ordering more for my kitchen. I used the ultra fine glitter and have no complaints

Do not buy
Does not work at all. The glitter gets covered by the paint colour and leaves the wall bumpy. So sad. This was for a nursery :(
