Advance Time Technology Silicone LCD Alarm Clock with Matching Backlight, Blue

My 6 yr old son LOVES this clock. The rubber around the entire clock is great. This way it won't scratch the furniture. Easy to set, easy to turn on and off. Numbers are easy to see. It's nice that the light doesn't constantly stay on but you can press the button and it will come on. Battery operated and I have not had to change the battery yet. I like it without the cord because I can put it anywhere around his bed and there is not tripping or tangling of a cord.

I bought this to go in my boys room. They are 6 and 4. They dropped and broke their previous spiderman alarm clock which had learning hands for the hours and minutes. So I needed something more durable. This clock is easy to set. The battery life seems good; we got it before school started in Aug and haven't had to change them. The display is easy to read. The light doesn't stay on at night which is good because they're not distracted watching the time change :) And they love telling me what time it is. The alarm is loud enough that I can hear it several rooms away. It's great for children who are gaining independence and discipline during the school year. 4stars because something is rattling inside and I don't if it's loose hardware from an accidental drop or if the boys put something inside:/ but it still works great regardless. Highly recommend!

Bought this as a first alarm clock for my 6 yr old. He likes it. Alarm is a good volume and not too annoying for the rest of us that want to sleep. The sound on the alarm suddenly stopped working about 2 months after purchase. This is outside the return policy, and seller has not responded to my request for a replacement.

After reading the other reviews, I really expected something better. First, the alarm is not loud. I think there is a quality control issue, or maybe a hearing issue...but it doesn't wake up my 6 year old. Even if it were louder, the alarm only sounds for a brief amount of time. We didn't realize it wasn't fully functioning until two days of waking up late. I am assuming it is defective, but I missed the return window. For $13 plus the shipping I paid, you can pick up something much more reliable at Big Lots or Wal-Mart. Aesthetically speaking, the blue is pretty, the rubber exterior is cool, and features are very simple.

Performs well, and is compact and robust versus dropping accidents.

Just what I wanted: A battery operated alarm clock (No worrying about power outages and missed flights) that only lights up when I push the button (very bright then) with large numerals, a loud alarm and low price ($10-11 when I bought it). The blue rubber/silicone that encases it makes me feel like my mom bought it for me in grade school and tempts me to throw it when it goes off, but that's probably more of an issue to discuss with my psychiatrist. All in all, just what I wanted in an alarm clock - Simplicity!

I love the blue light that it has! The outside is rubber, which is great. Its soft to the touch. The display is ridiculously easy to read from any distance. It does not have a constant light like most alarm clocks, which I like because I can't sleep well with the glow of an alarm clock. It only lights up when you press the button to illuminate it.The alarm is not loud. It is pretty standard volume, in my opinion. The volume is not adjustable. At 4"x2.5", the face is a great size, but a little smaller than I expected. I perhaps didn't read the size properly. The alarm itself is 4"x2.5"x2.5"
