Coolibar UPF 50+ Women's Navagio Sun Sleeves - Sun Protective

These are amazing!! I have lupus and am incredibly sensitive to even tiny amounts of UV radiation. Lately, we’ve been having days that are up in the 98° range with real feel temperatures well over 100°. Because of my photosensitivity, I have to wear both SPF 50+ AND photoprotective long sleeves. These are perfectly cool. In fact, I’ve been getting a kick out of wearing them. Everyone around me is dying seeing me in pants and “long sleeves”. They don’t know it’s Coolibar and that it’s specialty material. I’m perfectly fine! Not hot at all. In fact, I’d guess I may be even cooler than a lot of people because of my Coolibar clothes! I also love that I can stash these in my purse! Sometimes I’ll pull them off when I enter a building so they’re not in the way when I’m getting physical therapy or so I don’t drip salsa on them at lunch. They stash right in my purse! These are a perfect way to get a little more sun protection!

I ordered these sun sleeves because I don’t like tight compression clothing, and I like breathable cotton. The cotton material is soft and the color (I ordered blue heather) is pretty. The sleeves are not as long as I expected, but fit my short arms (I am 5’2”) from wearing short cap sleeves at the top of my arms to a portion covering my hand. These sleeves don’t always stay up, but it’s probably because I ordered a size large and I am not large (115 lbs).

My arms are very sensitive to the sun as a result of chemo. I needed something to protect them without making me too hot. I love these sleeves. I slip them on when I am going outside. Wear one on my left arm when driving too. I was hesitant to buy as they are pricey but the fabric is nice and they fit well. These are nice because they have several sizes. The only thing I wish they had was a hole for your thumb. I have another pair of sleeves that were cheaper but the quality is not the same.

I have short arms... so this was long for me and hit my underarms. I love the fabric, but if you settle for the Navy Blue, it will bleed blue dye and stain other clothing nearby. I don’t know how the color will turn out after multiple washes. Being sensitive skin, I would consider the oatmeal shade next time since I can’t have heavy dye on my skin. Even SPF can irritate me. So keep that in mind. Otherwise, great fabric and you can keep this with you to protect your arms while driving. I have decided to settle for the touchscreen gloves instead and the Coolibar Sun shawl since I love the feel on my skin and I can cover more area, even my legs while driving. The Coolibar Sun Shawl cools my body in intense heat and humidity that my boys try to take it from me after feeling it’s effects.

These sun sleeves are really great. I work outside in Phoenix, so I wanted something to protect my arms because my uniform has short sleeves. I found that the Coolibar sun sleeves are really comfortable and lightweight. I was afraid they would be too hot to wear but they aren't at all. Next time, I will probably order a Medium rather than Large because the large tend to slide down my arms somewhat when I'm out working. Other than that, they're perfect!

I wear these when I'm driving in Southern California wearing short sleeves. They offer good protection but seemed to shrink after a few washes so they are now tight.

These sun sleeves are the best! They do not bind at the top of the arm as others I have bought do. They stay up and in place, very comfortable, almost like a second skin. I wear them when I am out for a walk, in the car, even for short trips to the store, and when doing gardening. They are so comfortable, I often leave them on when I am grocery shopping; they become part of my outfit! Highly recommend them for all outdoor activities.

I love these sun sleeves! I got the poppy red in an xs because they were on sale and these were my first ones. The fabric is really nice and not immediately “workout-y” which I appreciate for when I wear them with regular clothes. I have not gotten a sun burn and My skin burns extremely easily. I will be purchasing these in more colors!
