Good, probably close to best for canned clams
Taste was as anticipated for canned, good value, would or will buy again. Used for homemade clam chowder.

“surf” clams were sent. full of dirt and grit.
The first time I bought these they were great. The second time... disgusting, gritty and weird.... Because I was sent “surf clams” . The second case had different labels. Unfortunately I didn’t pay much attention (although the color was grayish). I ruined an entire batch of chowder using these.

Tastes like clams!
I have bought the standard supermarket clams (in my area) for years. I find that Bar Harbor has no sulfurous undertones and gives a nice flavor. Mostly use them for recipes for red or white clam sauce or a pantry clam chowder, and they turn out great. Also use Bar Harbor bottled clam juice.

The best chopped clams!
These are the best clams for a base in my linguine and clam sauce. I use chopped clams along with fresh little necks to give more flavor. I’ve been using. Bar Harbor for years. Never disappointed.
