Buckwheat, 53 oz

I chose this as a healthy fiber for breakfast. It seemed to be a pure form of buckwheat. Previously my recipes with buckwheat flour had an off flavor that my family refused. When I opened the package and lifted the package, the bottom had a tear that sprayed out tiny granules. I’ve been vacuuming the granules that went everywhere. Open it in a dry sink and have a jar ready to contain this product. One batch prepared according to the bag’s directions makes a week of half cup portions. The cereal was surprisingly good. It was covered with unsweetened vanilla almond milk- not the brand with carrageenan and other additives. It has a delicate mouth feel and taste of spice that was surprisingly delicious. There is no need for sweeteners. This brand is made in Russia. The value for the money is excellent. The aroma and taste are very good. The cleanliness was only compromised by the bag breaking in the mailing box and all over the floor. The glued closing of the cellophane bag may have melted from the heat in the metal mailbox.

Arrived in good condition thanks. I've order such things over the internet in the past - and these things tend to rip in shipping, but this time it was packaged better than expected....even styrofoam in a rigid box. This product is great if you have diabetes or something.

BAG CAME OPENED AND IT IS EXPIRED It came with a clear bag which it’s weird bc why would the buckwheat bag come inside a clear bag? I saw that the grains were falling and then i saw that the bag of buckwheat was open.. FROM BOTH SIDES- CORNERS AND IT IS EXPIRED!!! DO NOT BUY

I've tried many types of buckwheat, but this one stands out as one of my favorites! It arrives promptly every time, which I greatly appreciate from this seller. One of my side-quest missions in life is to refer as many people as possible to this specific product on Amazon so they can experience the superior grain for themselves. I was first introduced to buckwheat by a Ukrainian co-worker, but even the Whole Foods in my city doesn’t carry proper buckwheat and a trip to another town with a European store isn’t convenient. Although I can’t read the Russian writing on the bag, I like the packaging design. I’m a geography and history nerd and it makes me feel like I’m eating real Soviet buckwheat. I’ve lost count how many bags I’ve ordered off Amazon. It comes double sealed and always tastes fresh. It’s more filling than rice, but lower in calories and higher in protein. It also cooks up faster than rice and has enough flavor to be eaten plain. I’m off to go cook a pot now.

Packaging barely made the trip. Busted open when I set it on the counter out of the box. Was already a year old by the time it arrived in my hands. But it still tastes pretty nice and hasn't poisoned me, so I guess all is acceptable.
