The book is a good beginner level book, which you can finish easily in short time. One can use it to quickly revise fundamentals of Java. But it has some serious drawbacks:1. Needs to be updated to cover latest Java/JDK. Author needs to grow up from JDK 1.7 (The author has added screenshots of JDK 1.7 and also the mention that current Java SE version is 7. Really?? Which arena are you living in?) It's 2021 and Java 17 LTS version has been released. Please update your content covering the latest developments in Java ecosystem and IT industry trends.2. Colour choice for content is worse. The pink colour makes the book look awful and unpleasant to the eye for reading the book.

I recently purchased this book to expand my programming language skill set and ended up buying this book. The book offers a great depth of knowledge right from the history of Java to Advanced Java. A person with no prior programming knowledge can buy this book & become an Advanced Java programmer. There are various exercises so that you can test your knowledge about what you may have learnt.
