CONVERT UK BAYONET TO USA EDISON SCREW IN
I spent 6 weeks trying to figure out to convert my beloved 240 UK lamps to 120V US. I thought it would be a simple matter of changing the socket- oh heck no! The shade design was part of the socket mechanism and could not be changed. After weeks of looking for 120 volt bayonet bulbs (which dont exist) I was ready to throw them out when I found these. They were delivered quickly- faster than expected- and screwed right into the bayonet receiver allowing an Edison type bulb to be used. Then a quick change of the plug from 240 to 120 and they were fixed. I am so pleased I found this! Saved me so much heartache. I converted two matching lamps.

Safely converted my UK lamps so I could use US bulbs
Worked perfectly, now I can use US bulbs in my UK lamps.

Useless - only suitable for old school incandescent bulbs
The long thin neck on this adapter where the bulb screws in is too narrow to fit anything other than (now nearly unobtainable) incandescent bulbs. Modern fluorescent and LED bulbs are significantly wider immediately above their threaded base, and are not able to screw in far enough to work. Completely useless product.

Doesn't fit all bulbs
Didn't power on the bulb until I bent up the center pin. The surrounding plastic is too high to let the bulb contact the pin. Not great but it kinda works.

Exactly what I needed
Bought a set of Ship edge lights that I purchased lomg time ago. These worked in them perfectly.
