Just ok...
I have built several flat back pieces over the years. This was a challenge. A lot shorter than expected. Once you put pillows on the bed you cant see the headboard.

Attractive
Looks great. Went together fine. Was exactly as described and I love it. My mother wants one now.

Flimsy veneer, finished product very short
I've assembled a lot of DIY furniture in the past, and this seemed like a more challenging unit that took me about three hours. The instructions were all there and weren't all that bad, but it just took what seemed like forever. The laminate film or veneer that gives the product its color is more flimsy than any others I've seen. On the pre-drilled holes, you can see where the film tears apart rather than chips apart. So that makes me think more of a tape-like sheet than a hard coating. The pre-drilled holes for the shelves were pretty ragged too, which would be fine for an area you don't look at all the time, but with more peg holes than shelves, that means wherever you put the shelves, you're going to have a bunch more empty holes that look like little ragged stars than circular holes. And as others stated here, I didn't really pay attention to how tall this was. I was more concerned with fitting to a queen bed and not being to "deep" from the wall to the bed. So it fit those two requirements perfectly. But fully assembled and using a bed with a box spring and mattress, the whole first level of shelving is obscured and I had to put the adjustable shelves on their highest setting just to see them at all. I may end up buying some pieces at the hardware store to replace this unit's "base" just so I can get the whole thing fitting at a taller height.

This item is better for a full size bed and not a queen
So, of course it was a little pain to Assemble. Also it's not the sturdiest product however if you tighten everything up correctly and as tight as possible what is all put together it's pretty sturdy. That I was not going to break or fall apart right away so is 3 enough to stand on his own and be okay. It looks great however if you have a queen size bed it doesn't look that big also if you have a box spring and a pillow top it looks even smaller. As far as the look for it, it does look good and I do like it. Given that I only paid $100 for this item I feel it's worth my money in spite of what I'm not happy about or wasn't easy, for the money it's definitely good enough product and if I needed another for the price I paid I would buy one but I would only buy this product for a full size bed not a queen.

Do not waste your $$!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! The pieces come without a way to identify them. The pieces came damaged. The coating over the chipboard is falling off after 2 weeks. It’s ugly and poorly made. Looks nothing like the photo.

I got exactly what I paid for and I'm happy with it.
I forgot to read the reviews before buying this. Read the reviews when it was on its way and braced myself for disappointment. It came earlier than expected, all the laminate is in tact, everything was labeled, its exactly the quality I expected for the price, looks just like the picture. I had my sister help me put it together but I probably could have done it myself. It looks like the height is fine when the bed is made but I tend to push my pillows up the front/into the cubbies so I do wish it was a little taller. I'll probably just put some cheap lumber under it to boost it up, I can always drill new holes to attach it to the bed frame. I would suggest sticking with a screwdriver rather than a cordless drill. Even with it set on the lowest torque it caused a bit more cracking in the laminate than the screwdriver. We had a bit of f an issue figuring out the supporting dividers; they have two holes on each end, one end's holes are bigger than the other and I wish they had pointed that out in the instructions because the smaller holes are small enough to not see unless you're looking for them. And the weird screws that go in the top, the picture makes them really tiny and you almost can't see which direction they go in so we argued a bit about that (I was right). I honestly think it's exactly what it looks like you're buying and I really don't understand all the bad reviews. Cheap laminate furniture has never been known to be high quality. Everybody wants the moon but nobody wants to pay for it.

Lacey Full/Queen Storage Headboard, Black Oak
I was very disappointed in this headboard. It was falling apart as my husband and I were putting it together. Also, it was difficult to put together. I did not get my money back because the seller wanted pictures and said if it was damaged we would not get a refund. So, it was poorly made, fell apart as we were putting it together, and I lost my refund due to poorly made materials. I would not ever buy this product again.
