Useful tool at the right price
Handy tool to have around to repair phone and ethernet cables; the price was right!

looked around for best for the price and i settled on this, seems good enough after doing several cords. looks like most cheap brands are created equal, so just buy cheapest you can if you wont use often.

Can't snip without pre feeding piece
The item has a difficulty and cumbersome use. Can't slide it over the work piece to cut. It has to be pre planned and slid between the hinge between the handles.

Worked Great!
This tool was easy and simple to use. We had a 4P cord with frayed wires and was able to repair it simply. Like the fact that it crimps all the common connectors.

I was recommended this crimper and it has not disappointed me. I am using this crimper to learn on and it works like a champ.

Defective.
The one I received was a return. I could tell because the package had been opened and the tool had light wear marks from handling. I figured, no big deal, someone ordered it, used it, and returned it. Tacky, but people do it. A week after I received it I used it for the first time for RJ45 8 pin network cable termination. The part that presses the 8 pins into the wires does not line up properly with the pins so it only pushes 7 of them. I was able to use it by pushing with a screw driver against the pin press part for EVERY termination to force it into lining up. Not sure if design or just my tool is defective, but not a good buy for me.
