I was pleased with the sturdiness and smooth texture of these skewers. They would definitely work great on our grill - but I am using them to great effect, for a different job. We start our spring and summer garden seedlings indoors with grow lights on shelves in my husband’s home office. This year, he really wants a lovely crop of sweet peas, for all their lovely, fragrant flowers. Sweet peas grow as tall vines that need support up to 10 ft tall - but when they are small, the seedlings also need something to help them hang on and grow before they are large enough to not be munched by snails and slugs. I had some 6” skewers leftover from a past recipe, that helped with my shortest seedlings - but they outgrew those, and needed something taller and sturdier, before they will be ready to be taken outdoors and hardened off before in ground planting. These skewers were the perfect length, smoothness, and sturdiness for my plants.

I like having these on hand. They're not only good for cooking but they're convenient and kinda fun to use for spearing pickles and/or olives out of a jar when I want a quick snack. 😁 The points are nice and sharp and sturdy enough that I don't worry about them breaking off while loading them up for grilling. I soak them in water before using them to cook with and they remain damp until grilling is finished, and they're long enough to hold a plateful of food.

These worked well for party favors

Study and long. Hard to break on your own but doable. Id recommend cutters to get a clean look. I use these to hold candy in bouqets and they and very strong. They do have a pointed side which I used to poke though Easter eggs but then just be careful to supervise them with children.

Pretty quality material, good price, quick shipment. What else can you expect from bamboo skews? Length is just the right size, durable to heat, and doesn’t change the taste of the meat and all.
