Good Buy
Having just purchased this dog training collar, I've charged it, become familiar with it, tested it and fit the collar to my dog. The training manual is easy to follow and set up of the collar was simple. Everything you need is included and it's very well designed. My next step is to get the dog used to wearing the collar before I start training (this particular dog is very skittish of new things). I also want to watch a video on training with these collars. I have two dogs and both know the basic commands. I purchased this collar for my younger dog for two reasons....1) to keep her away from a nearby road and 2) to keep her from going further than the edge of the woods around my home to hopefully prevent any unwanted encounters with wild life that exists in the woods. Occasionally, I have my dogs outside their normal fenced areas and the younger dog has a tendency to chase the occasional bicycle rider and her nose leads her towards the road sometimes. Friends and family have these collars and tell me that they only have to use the beep or vibrate to keep their dogs safe. Hopefully, that will be the case for my dog as well. One thing I will note is that I have a hearing loss and was concerned that I would not hear the "beep" of this collar which could impact my use of training with the collar. I was pleased to find that I could hear the beep.

Great all-around training collar!
I've tried several different training collars and so far, this is one of my favorites! I like the rubber feeling of the remote and the colors to distinguish the different modes. I like that you can adjust the vibration and shock levels without having to switch to that mode. My favorite part of this remote is that when you push the button to beep/vibrate/shock, it works right away! That's so crucial during training and crucial for me because when my dog is getting close to something dangerous (we live on a farm) and he gets stubborn and decides to ignore the vibration while running towards the horses, or the road, or wherever, I can't spare any seconds waiting for the shock actually transmit to him to get his attention (only done in a serious emergency). With some other remotes, there is a mode button to rotate through and then another button to push to actual beep/vibrate/shock or you have to push the vibrate button to switch to that mode then push it again to actually vibrate. This is not as effective in training when you aren't correcting the behavior right away. This is definitely a training collar and remote I would buy again. And the process is pretty good!

It is like a silent kick in the @$$!
This guy here is pretty gnarly, at first your pet or your lover will respond to the vibration out of confusion. The audible sound is more of a warning that over time will be related to the head tilting vibrations. But the shock measured at a whopping 0.02 volts is surprisingly effective, as long as you have good contact with the skin. The adjustable fabric collar is all too ready to adjust so you will need to use the plastic reflective one. Be warned a doggo that is curious in other things are aggitated won't even notice the electricity putting through their neck. This is still a pretty damn good product however!

Great product
This collar works great! It holds a charge well, has many different options and levels and the remote is very handy to have for training. We’ve been working with our 8 year old lab who likes to dig in the trash and eat toys and so far we’ve been able to curb the behavior just with the audio button- no shock required. This is a great teaching tool!

Not effective
The shock on this was barely perceptible on my bare skin. I was able to return it so that's why 3 stars.

Not for my dogs
Battery life is great however I pup these on a 17 week mastiff & a 1 year old lab, went through all the settings slowly, finally reached 100 at shock level and none of the shocks phase either one of my dogs. I put it down on my counter and I touched it, barely puts off any shock. Almost feels like a tens unit for your muscles. The vibration is stronger than the shock. The beeping works great, as well as the vibration. Just don’t buy this for the shock portion of the training.

Great range of control
I purchased this collar as a means of distraction for my dog when she is about to get herself into trouble, and it works great.I like that I can control the strength of the vibration and shock. Although I seldom use the shock option.I tested the shock on myself, and found it to feel like the impuse of a Tens device (electric stimulation device for rehab) I was able to choose a strength that I considered annoying and not painful. The Charging Cable is convenient as it has two wires so you can charge the collar and remote at the same time. The shock hasn't been used much, as the vibration is more than enough of a distraction to break my dogs focus to get her to refocus on me. My dog has a habit of barking persistently and she does not respond to my voice. Here the beep or vibration was enough.I find this better than a regular bark collar, as you have greater control over when and how correction can be delivered. The only thing to keep in mind is that this collar does not deliver any beep, vibration, or shock automatically. There is no sound sensor to trigger it. It is completely controlled by the remote. That would be the only downside to this collar I found. If used correctly, this devise can be utilized as a dog training aid. Please remember these types of collars are not meant to be used as a form of punishment. Dogs should be trained with positive reinforcement.I also like the option to control two separate collars off of one remote.

weak
The shock even on 100 did not phase a small dog. We still used it for the vibration and sound but would not recommend if you need the shock.
