The Travel Book Rest - Mint

I've bought a few of these. The funniest one was a 'lap desk' pillow that converts top a neck pillow. Probably because it does NOT work as a lap desk for a Kindle Fire 7" or an iPad mini. I tried a couple tri pods, and though the latest one I got was better, it still doesn't quite work. Plus I never seem to be able to remember where it is. Collapsed, it disappears on the coffee table or wherever. This is easy to find, easy to use, and folds and packs light for travel. It's actually lighter than the tripod. I may need to get another one. One thing would make it even better-if the hook stands were just a little better fitting for a Kindle Fire 7" to sit portrait view stably.

I originally found this in a local bookstore. Since then we have purchased a few of these for ourselves and given some away as gifts. It’s a perfect iPad stand or kindle stand. For iPad you can tip the stand farther forward for hands free FaceTime or Skype so thecamera isn’t pointed at the ceiling. Designed also for books but paper pages get hung up on the lower supports so you’re better off using for electronic devices or maybe a cookbook where you aren’t flipping pages frequently. Packs completely flat so it’s a must for travel. I can’t say enough good things about this little stand; it’s just a real champ!

It's way smaller than I imagined. That's on me for not reading the dimensions, I'm usually so good about that. I saw the picture of the iPad and assumed it was a regular one - it's a mini in the photo for sure. It's hard plastic so not very flexible when it opens to hold a book. The prongs are not adjustable for book thickness. It definitely won't be able to hold a paperback over 400 pages. And even under it won't be able to hold a book until you're a ways into it. It arrived with a sticker on it, pricing it at £8.99, which comes out to about $11. I paid $13. That's a little messed up... I'm going to give it a shot because I desperately need something to help hold my books. I'll update after some use. Update: it works. It does what it's supposed to do. Technically. The plastic arms bend a bit under the weight of a larger book. They also have a sharp edge that digs into the pages and leaves marks. It even cut a bit out of one of my pages when I went to turn it. Once it has been used for a bit, the arms will no longer fold back in to lie flat when you put it away. They will always stick up just a bit. So yes, this product works, but it could be way better in almost every way.

I often read while having lunch and was always frustrated using salt shakers and restaurant flyers to hold my books. This stand folds flat and fits in your book for travel and then easily sets up to hold you book upright for easy reading and holds the pages open for you so that your hands are free. It works well with hardback or paperback books and my Kindle.

I got this the other day and tried it out as I need something I can easily pack to make holding paperback books easier. I find that the arms were very hard d and stiff and didn’t hold my book very well at all. I will be returning it. Disappointed.

It did not hols my Kindle or any small book of any kind. They just would not fit and hold it up, I wasted money buying this,

I love these travel book rest. I use it for my 10 inch ipad. Nice for traveling. Fold flat can go in my purse.

The pictures imply that this book rest would accommodate a paperback or an IPad. It would have to be half again as big to do that. Returned the item.

Exactly what is needed to keep me cookery, crocheting books open at the page I’m using. The quality is great and is very light in weight. Also great value for money.

I like that I can use this for my phone to watch movies or Skyping for my tablet but also my kindle and a book! Handy that it folds away especially for travel but took a long time to receive
