Based on botanicals from Iceland, the skyn Iceland product line is 100% vegan. This package of lip gel patches contains 4 applications. Each lip gel is oversized, flexible and sandwiched between two removable plastic sheets, inside a little plastic container, which is inside a foil-lined plastic bag that has notches on one end that are easy to tear off. Four of these little foil-lined, plastic bags are inside the box.To use the lip gels, clean the mouth area so there is no lotion or makeup, remove a lip gel from inside all the packaging and press it onto the mouth, pressing out any bubbles, and leave it on for ten minutes. After a couple of minutes of having it on, I noticed a pleasant, cooling effect. Having used several skyn ICELAND products before I was excited to try these lip masks. I live in a hot climate and feel like I’m constantly applying lip balm.These lip masks are listed as a solution for “dryness, fine lines and wrinkles, loss of fullness”. They’re free from parabens, silicones, fragrance and dye and as a result are vegan. These do have the proprietary “Icelandic complex” that skyn products are known for.The masks are just as sliver thin as other masks I’ve tried, unsuccessfully. These skyn masks however adhere to the mouth and sort of “suction” onto your lips which was very interesting and definitely more effective since they stay in place.I left the mask on for the full 10 minutes according to the directions. After removing, my lips felt soft and pillowy. I did not need to immediately apply lip balm, in fact I noted that I consciously was aware of not needing any balm at around 10 pm the same night. This is definitely an immediate improvement in the moisture level of my lips. Of course improving moisture will then reduce fine lines, same as the rest of your skin.These are a nice pampering treat after a day in the sun or really whenever you like. Skyn ICELAND did not disappoint and I’m happy with another product of theirs. Their entire line is on Amazon, and they do list ALL ingredients for products which I appreciate.

These lip patches are nice. They’re super hydrating and leave the lips feeling soft and smooth. As for the plumping, they do cause a tingling sensation and appear to give a slight plump, which of course is only temporary. Once it wears off though, it leaves the lips looking and feeling noticeably smoother and softer, which is a huge plus. I would recommend these to others.

I didn't feel like these plumped my lips so much as made them moist and supple. It's not easy to align them perfectly and leaving them on is not exactly comfortable because the gel feels weird. I liked it enough, but probably won't get them again.

These were the first lip masks to actually work for me. You have to kind of suck it to your lips to get it to stay. I used these while doing a sheet mask, so it stayed on for 20 minutes. It covered my lips and a little of the surrounding area. The material isn't very wet, which I think helps it stick to your lips. When I took it off my lips immediately felt tingly and kind of buzzy. It might be a cumulative effect or it doesn't last long, in the morning I couldn't tell a difference.

They're a bit awkward to use... the gels are really big and cover a large surface past the natural lip line... but I imagine that's just so they can fit a variety of mouth sized and shapes. And they seal your mouth shut while on (my fiancé kept trying to talk to me and feed me things lol). If you do happen to accidentally get some in your mouth, it doesn't taste unpleasant or leave a taste on the lips after removal. They are very easy to apply and stay on without any issues. They are a bit over sized but work great at covering both my lips. The lip gels left my lips feeling cool with a bit of a tingly sensation but not painful. I was excited to try these out because in the past i have been impressed with other SKYN Icelands products. I have always been interested in products that could plump my lips at home also it doubled as a lip mask.

I was surprised to see that when I received these, they were already expired. I guess you could say I live on the edge a little when it comes to the shelf life of cosmetics because I know I've got some lipsticks that are 3-5 years old. That being said, it's a little annoying to receive a product already past its expiration date.I used one of these last night and it did help me from yelling at my kiddos when they were being too loud since you've got to essentially keep your mouth shut when you wear these. These definitely have a tingle to them and my guess that's from the ingredients and not the fact that they are expired. These did leave my lips feeling a little plumper than when I started. I just wish these was a way these came in 2 pieces instead of one.
