Great old school scope rings.
These are the old fashion rings that have securely held scopes for forty plus years...they have an quality old school look and feel...I used them to mount a vintage Weaver K-4W on a Marlin 880 using the Weaver T22 dovetail to Weaver adapters...I needed very low rings with the adapters (they are taller than the Weaver bases that are held down with screws) to get the scope low enough to be comfortable (and these are low) to shoot...If you are using a 40MM objective lens scope you will need the medium height rings to clear the barrel...They have an aluminum bottom section and a polished blue strap that matches the finish of the steel tube Weaver scope...the strap fits into a slot on one side of the lower section and is tightened around the scope tube with two slotted head screws (no Torx or Allen head screws on these rings) so use a proper fitting screwdriver to prevent buggering up the screw slots...the ring's design makes them strongly secure the scope...The cross slot screw can be securely tightened down on the scope base with a quarter and the scope can be removed and reinstalled on the bases without dramatically changing zero...when these rings are tightened down they are secure (when I used the same rings on a .308 and a .250-3000 Savage back in the 70's I never experienced any slippage or impact change)...The rings are easy to install on the scope and then mount on the bases...instructions are very plain on how to install everything...These are a quality manufactured product made here in the USA at a good rice point making the Weaver bases and rings a good value...If you have a black matte finish scope the black matte finished rings will match...same with a gloss black scope...gloss black rings and silver rings for silver scopes if you choose...Sorry for the crappy iPad photos...I should have used my wife's Kindle (it has a much better camera 😉)

weaver makes nice rings and i have used them on a few rifles over the years. these rings however were used to mount a surefire G2X flashlight on one of my AR 15's. worked out perfect and now i have a spare ring and an excuse to by another flashlight.

Fit and work fine
Be careful ordering the "low" size. I have a typical 40mm scope and they are too low. Now I'll have to buy a scope for them... and another gun to mount the scope to. Expensive mounts.

lowest scope mounts
These scope mounts were put on a single shot 22 and work perfect.A person can hold their cheek tight on the stock for a steady holdy.Great for teaching youths.

Good, but not right.
When I got around to using them, they would not work with my scope.

The lowest rings that I know of
I prefer to mount my scopes as low as possible. Must be the shape of my face, because even with raised cheek pieces, most scope rings are too high and pull me off the stock, resulting in a poor cheek weld.I've searched online to find the lowest options available, and I've bought many of them, including the "low" rings offered by Leupold, Burris, and Vortex. In a side-by-side comparison, the Weaver Top Mounts are lower than all of them.Height aside, the way these actually attach to the scope might be good or bad depending on who your ask. They are a bit of a pain to get on the scope initially, and keeping the crosshairs level can be tricky when tightening the screws. On the upside, once they are on, they aren't going anywhere and they have a nice low profile look. They have a finger adjustable knob for easily attaching or removing to/from the scope base. This is handy if you also have and use iron sights sometimes, or maybe swap between a scope and a red dot, as it's easy to go back and forth between optics/irons with no tools needed. For someone who doesn't plan on removing the scope much or at all, it would be nice if Weaver had an option that just screwed in with a Torx bit or something, as this would result in a simpler, cleaner appearance with no knobs to accidentally bump or snag.

Great low profile Qd flashlight mount.
Great low profile flashlight mount. Mounted a MT26 perfectly. The same as the GG&G mount but half the price. Highly recommended!

Easy to install
These are great rings, and do a good job of holding the scope. I will suggest to other buyers however, that when putting the top half of the rings over the scope that they cover the scope body with a thin piece of nylon or other material to prevent the possibility of the rings marring the scope.
