I am a court reporter and have had fibromyalgia for over 20 years now, so pain is just part of my daily life. I had seen various knee pillow advertisements on TV, and I wondered if using one would really make any difference. Amazon, of course, has many varieties, but I chose this one to try because of its high ratings and the options it has available.I've been very pleased with my purchase, and I'm so glad I chose this specific knee pillow set. The strap obviously is incredibly helpful in not having to chase the pillow around under the sheets during the night. Even if you move around a lot in your sleep, this knee pillow stays where it should.Another unique feature is the ability to remove a layer of the pillow to reduce its width. (This is a very easy process because the extra layer, as well as the leg strap, are connected to the main pillow with very functional velcro. It's not coming apart unless you make an effort to separate it.) I personally prefer the extra layer, but being able to remove it is a good option to have.The pillow's outer covering is quite soft, and it can be unzipped and removed and is machine washable. The inner foam is dense enough to provide good support, but soft enough to be comfortable on all sides.Back to the pain relief I mentioned earlier. I have only been using this knee pillow for about five days, but I can emphatically say that I have felt a very noticeable reduction in the pain I have always had when waking up in the mornings. I've done nothing different with my sleeping habits, so the knee pillow has to get all of the credit for the relief I'm experiencing. I'm certainly not claiming that I'm suddenly cured and all pain is gone, but I am saying that this pillow has benefited me to the point that I won't be sleeping without it in the future.

I have really bad knees, I am a slide sleeper, and I sleep with my knees bent. Therefore I have a lot of knee pain at night. I was using a muscle pain reliever cream, and it wasn't enough. I bought this pillow and will not sleep without it. The pillow is soft, firm, and provides good relief for my knees. You almost get 3 adjustments wit this pillow. (1) You can take off the attached piece on the top (2) You can sleep with the attached piece (3) if you turn the pillow to the side you get another angle for sleeping and knee relief. I can actually sleep comfortably now and relieve some knee pain. Also the strap on the pillow is nice, because you can comfortably secure the pillow to your knees, for those people who toss and turn quite often.

Overall, this pillow is pretty soft and comfortable. The larger piece has a medium firmness to it and it does maintain its shape. I like the ease with which the covers come off for washing. There are a couple of issues with the design though. First, I specifically tried this product because of the two pieces that makes it somewhat adjustable. The smaller piece, however, is a lot less firm. It easily flattens to more than half its thickness. This makes it pretty much useless for any height adjustment purposes. The second issue is with the velcro that's meant to keep everything in place. It works fine for that purpose, having a firm grip. When it comes time to throw it in the washing machine though, it's a problem. The velcro lacks any protective covers which similar machine-washable items have. This results in it sticking to either the pillow cover itself (after getting all twisted up), or to other soft items in the wash. Turning it inside out doesn't help much, plus that's not possible for the strap itself.So overall, if you just want a sleeping pillow, this is nice, just don't expect much from the adjustment part of it. Hopefully future versions will be better.

The large pillow piece IS NOT MEMORY FOAM. Only the additional piece is actually memory foam.I still give this pillow three stars because it is the only one that exists which is truly thick enough to keep my top leg parallel with the other, as my physical therapist recommends. This is a great knee pillow. I like that it has a detachable smaller pillow which I didn't need between my knees, so I put it on my pillow when I'm watching TV in bed, it works great for that. The knee pillow gives great hip and knee relief from pain. I need a hip replacement, and I'm trying to put it off until the Spring. In the meantime, cortisone injections into my hip every 3 months and good hip alignment at night with this knee pillow. I used the strap once, but really don't need it. The cover is very soft and can be removed to launder. This pillow has really helped me sleep at night. I highly recommend it.

Received product rolled up tightly in vacuum sealed bag , memory foam never expanded back to fill cover ,with both pieces you have about 1 inch cushion

I have been using this knee pillow for a few weeks now and I love it! I have others but nothing of this great quality. The 2nd portion to the pillow is great. I'm a big guy and needed something a bit more substantial. The strap is great so I'm not losing it in the middle of the night when I move. The material is very soft and I don't feel the strap either. I would recommend this to anyone with hip and lower back issues, has been really helpful. Gonna get them for gift for friends and family.
