BR THAI BUDDHA HEAD LARGE

I did a lot of shopping around and loved this buddha tank ornament the most. (I have actually bought these just to decorate my house!) However, in my freshwater fish tank, I've noticed the paint wears off slowly. (See photos.) I can't decipher whether I bought this one or two years ago and have decided to replace it with a new one. I'm not sure if it is reasonable to expect a tank ornament to look good after one or two years or if there is anything specific about my water. (I am in Kansas and buy my water from the pet store that sold me the fish.) I did not have any issues with cloudy water as other reviewers have mentioned. I did place the ornament in a bucket of tap water for 24 hours to make sure and had no problems. Overall a good buy that I would buy again even given the paint wearing off slowly. I hope this review is helpful to someone!

This is a perfect decoration for an aquarium, especially if you want an Asian or Buddhist theme. I plan to order another, fill it with plaster of Paris and just display it on a shelf. Someone mentioned a smell on the inside. Just let it soak for a few hours or better yet wash/scrub it with a toothbrush, it will disappear within minutes.

Nice Buddha head but smaller than advertised. It seems closer to 4" than 6". Also, it floats :) Not good for an aquarium ornament. I weighted it down with some substrate thinking it would eventually get waterlogged but four days later it popped back up again. Weighted it down again and it's been in there for a week so I'm hoping it's good now. Soaked it for a day before putting in tank and water in bucket stayed clear. Bottom-line, it's not perfect but I love it anyway.

I have this three stars because it does look really nice in a nano tank. I went to clean my aquarium and noticed a smell coming from it. When i took out the Buddha head, i smelled the inside and it stunk like old decomposing something mixed with plastic smell. The fish seem ok, but I took it out. I'll just use it out in the garden, out of water.

It's about 6 inches tall. I have it in my 3 gallon Tetra tank; it's probably my all time favorite decoration. It's hollow, so you have to set it on its side to allow it to fill up with water, or it could float. Having done this, I've never experienced a problem when moving tanks or removing it for cleaning. I recommend it!

So cute! However, if it's like mine, it'll make your tank cloudy for bit. I'm glad I purchased it and added it to my tank before I added my fish. So.. If you already have fish, I highly recommend soaking it a few days (not just a rinse) to make sure it's fish-ready. Enjoy!

Much cuter than expected! Has gold on the top, very nice touch! Also, a little smaller than I would've like but over all a great buy!
