Flexible Moulding - Flexible Cove Moulding - WM093-3/4" X 3/4" - 8' Length - Flexible Trim

Installed a new toilet, but as the floor was not 100% level, there were some parts of the toilet with a 3/8" gap after shimming. For aesthetic reasons, I decided to run cove moulding around the base. I ordered this because I couldn't find flexible cove moulding in my local big-box hardware store.First things first: This is not white, despite its appearance in the picture. It's actually more of a light tan. I was disappointed to discover this as it added an extra painting step to the installation, but I ran with it, wanting to avoid the hassle of returning and finding an alternative. I measured and cut the moulding, making sure to cut about an inch short so there would be a gap in the back for any future leaks to announce themselves. I used loctite construction adhesive to secure the moulding to the bottom of the toilet. The adhesive worked wonderfully. Then I caulked the top and bottom of the moulding. Finally, I used 2 coats of zinsser permawhite mold & mildew resistant primer & paint to paint the moulding white, which the moulding took well. Note that you can't paint it first or the paint will crack when you bend the moulding during installation.It's been a few weeks, and everything is holding up fine. The product is good, but the picture if misleading. Get the photo to more accurately reflect the true color, and I'll bump it up to 4 stars. Offer it in white and you have a 5-star product.

At request of trusted installer we purchased this item. We used gel stain and applied it prior to installation for fear that any glue might not allow gel stain to coat properly (didn’t want to risk). Color taking was adequate. Warmed up, the moulding can be forced to match curves but recommended adhesive required repeat application. Unknown if this is a product issue or a glue issue.Just do not understand why this item is not constructed of wood. A long strip applied to a webbing material, micro cuts every quarter inch (not all the way through) and the strip would be eco friendly. And require traditional installation methods.This is not the first time mankind has used moulding that should accommodate curves. Given that we couldn’t locate any other manufactured curve moulding, this is a solution albeit we wish the manufacturer will think outside of the box.

We have a vaulted ceiling that is rounded at the peak instead of being a sharp angle. This product saved my husband's sanity when he was replacing the moulding between the brick fireplace and the ceiling. If you do have sharp angles, just be aware that it won't bend into a 90-degree angle. We had one area with a tighter curve where this moulding split, but we still didn't find anything that worked better for our needs. The split is easily fixed with caulking and since it's a high ceiling it's not at all noticeable.

1st Resinart shipped quickly was packaged well, came by ground so took a week but that was fine.2nd I used this on a oval window install. This work perfect to hold the window in the frame. I also used Resinart flat stock for the wondow frame, and flexible moulding to trim after I drywall. This worked great for me. My other options were to steam the bends myself not an easy process or send in a template and have a company make all the moulding. Flexible moulding was less expensive and looks great.3rd how well this does in the mild winters/summers in the puget sound area I don't know, I used it both inside and outside. Time will tell

The Molding was as described. However stain will not adhere to this product. I had to use paint even though I was trying to match a wood floor with cherry stain. So that's a bit of a bummer but was able to cobble something together that worked.
