So comfortable
Really pleased with this collar. The vet issued me with an e collar for my dog which, as far as she was concerned, was an instrument of torture!! She could barely walk in it and definitely couldn't reach her food or water bowls! This collar was a game changer, and I'd go as far as to say my dog loves it and certainly looks incredibly cozy when she's snoozing with it on.The collar's well made and, because my cavapoo was between sizes, I followed the advive given and sized up to large.Fantastic product and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Comfortable
This product definitely helps allow my dog to reach her food and water bowls, very effective in that aspect. However she can reach her face with her paws, so I think this cone depends on the wound site. Despite this I still use the cone for her around the house while in supervision. But I have to use the vets given cone for sleeping to make sure that she doesnt touch the wound on her face with her paws. Overall would recommend for comfort of the dog, it was easy to wash and use. For effectiveness, I think it depends on the dogs injury.

The Recriminating Look Says It All
Our poor baby needed an operation on her cheek last week. She wouldn’t stop scratching at the scar and the cone of shame just wasn’t cutting it. Honestly don’t know why vets still use them - has anyone ever had success with their dog keeping it on?Anyway, after much hunting, we found this beauty. Sure, we wanted a comically designed one but this was cheaper and had better reviews. She’s been wearing it all day (on walks, during mealtimes and when sleeping) and she hasn’t tried to get it off once. She actually looks pretty comfortable in it (she always looks like she’s judging me harshly and finding me lacking so don’t let the photo fool you 🤷🏻♀️).Boo’s a big sized Jack Russell and the medium sized collar fits perfectly. It inflates easily and slips onto her collar with no trouble. She wore it on her walk and it got wet but dried really quickly.Highly recommend (the collar, not the dog, she’s trying bankrupt us with vet fees).

Reasonable quality but didn't quite work
Bought this collar (XL size) for my Newfoundland who repeatedly washes himself, gnaws at his lower legs/feet and now has a very sore flank. Whilst the quality is reasonable and it appears to fit well and reasonably comfy he can somehow reach the wounded areas, rendering it fairly useless. This does appear to be an issue with larger sized dogs so the collar may be much more effective with smaller breeds.

Good item.
This has been fantastic, much better than I expected. My dog was comfortable in it and the fact you can wash the cover was great.

Tips. Good quality
Update.Broke on the first day!! I have a 30k heeler. The strap broke meaning that it came over his head but was still fixed by the collar. He was so freaked out that he streamed their the room banging everything and nearly Woking good stitches. POOR CHEAP STITCHING. More rubbish churned out for landfill.Tips.Don't completely fill it. Press it down on the floor while you remove air so that when your foot lays down he can decompress it a bit. Much more comfy.Collar must be quite snug but make sure the latch and velcro is back of head.Try to perfectly lined up Velcro strip. If not it will stick to blankets.

This is a good alternative for dogs.
We use this for a Bassett hound who struggled with the cone. This was much kinder and he could eat and drink easily whilst wearing it. The only downside was the you have to watch the plug that holds the air in as sometimes the natural head turning, lowering, can let some of the air out. Overall it was a very good alternative to the cone of shame.
