I wish I would have found this thing years ago. I'm in the military and travel a lot for my job...not always staying in places that provide soap. The traditional soap dishes you find in stores were always a source of annoyance for me. The two piece slide apart dishes were a pain to open with wet, dirty or soapy hands. I absolutely hated those! The ones with a hinge were slightly better, but they would not allow the soap to dry out and would usually leak water and soap slime into my shaving kit. This thing is solidly built and allows the soap to dry out and doesn't leak liquid into your bag. The latch is solid and keeps the case closed. It fits a normal bar of soap just fine. Because of it's unique design it is slightly larger than a standard soap case. If you think you need this....you probably do. Just buy it .

Ever spend 3 hours on Amazon looking for a product that any one else would have only spent 1 minute looking for? That's what I did for this product and I'm super happy I did. As long as there isn't a puddle of water in it when you close the lid (I flick off the excess water in the holder and on the soap bar) then it really won't leak. I don't have time to super dry my soap as I'm in hostels when I travel, this thing does the trick.I also watched in horror as it fell from over 6ft to the tile floor, certain it was going to break... and it was fine. The two halves came apart at the hinge and simply snapped back together.

Works well keeping soap dry. A bit difficult opening, especially with wet soapy hands. Still, worth the money

I don’t need this as a soap dish—regular ones are good enough for me. If you place a sponge inside instead of soap, however, it makes a great guitar case humidifier. Soak the sponge and squeeze out enough water so it doesn’t drip. (Pooled water can leak out.) It lasts at least three weeks. No more annoying guitar case gimmicks or weekly rituals.

I like the product generally, but the snap-close latch does not hold up. I tried to be careful with it but due to the design it's prone to being bent too far and snapping. Nifty design. There is always a small amount of water left over in the soap case after a shower. The soap gets mushy for the next shower. In my old case I drilled holes that allowed the moisture to escape. This worked well but it would leak of you turned it over. This one doesn’t leak and still lets the case vent.Made of a sturdy plastic. Fit my bar of dial soap just fine but there wasn’t much room to spare so if you are a “big soap” person you’ll have to cut it to fit.

I use this container for my special after swim shower. The soap stays in it until my next visit to the pool. Everything is dry and no smushy soap. It is small, fits a standatd sized bar of soap, and fits easily in my swim bag.

Terrible design for opening the case. Nearly impossible to unlatch it with dry hands, let alone wet ones. They even included a flyer for a “quick start” website (and an unhelpful one at that.) I was sure there had to be some trick to getting it open - spoiler alert - there is not. Please, if you need a website to explain how to open a travel soap case, there is something very wrong with the product.

This thing is really good. I swim twice a week, and I keep this in my bag. It has never leaked, the soap dries inside it.If you want to use a bar of soap instead of shower gel, this is an excellent tool for the job.100% recommend this.

Its a shame this was discontinued as no other soap box comes close to durability and i have just bought an aluminium one which got dented when the delivery guy tried to push it through the letterbox. This was to replace my other Portineer soap box as I have two that was no way as good as this one.

The soap eventually dries but the sealing is totally useless to stop the very littles water that drains off the soap. The water gets out and messes up.

This does exactly what it says. My travel bag stays dry but magically the soap dries out too. No mess or stickiness or leakage. I do take care to make sure there’s no pools of water in the box. Bye bye old watertight boxesBut why not design a catch that was wasn’t exasperatingly fiddly to open? Yes I know it needs to be secure and not pop open in transit - but that’s just not going to happenUpdate - the catch broke and I now hold it closed with a band. It’s much easier to use

I've been looking for something like this for ages...Using a tiny bar of soap in hotels, then throwing 95% away seems such a waste, and keeping bars of soap in my washbag never worked until now.Now I can keep my favourite bar of soap in my washbag until I need it again, or until it is used up. Better for me, and better for the environment. Neat and tidy - it just works!I have one in my washbag for traveling.I also bought one for the shower, and one for our en-suite.Thoroughly recommended 👍
