Worked great on Big Blue water filter
I could not get the big blue filter loose with the plastic wrench that came with the system. A youtube video pointed me to this device so I bought it. Note that it uses a 1/2 inch ratched, not the more common 3/8. My local Home Depot did not have a 1/2” ratchet, so I got a 1/2” breaker bar. It was not quite as easy to use but once the wrench was tight it was great and the filter came off with little trouble. This wrench did not really have any instructions with it so it took a couple minutes to figure out how to use it, but it was not that hard.

This strap wrench won’t fail or bend!
When the cheap imitation strap wrenches stretch and break or their cheap steel twists at the ratchet drive you need to but this professional grade tool. Made with heavy seat belt webing strap it grips tight and hard. The forged steel ratchet bar can handle a long breaker bar with no issue. Lisle does it again!

Gets stuck stuff unstuck!
If you have a water filter case that is stuck, this is the tool you need. I tried everything and nothing worked. I was ready to spend a lot more to replace the whole thing and then I saw this. It was easy to use and works great!

Great product earning its place in Lisle's tool line up.
Pros are apparent when your putting this thing to the test. Build quality is significantly higher or equal to every similar product I have used. The tool is capable of performing in some pretty tight areas usually with ease. The material grabs very well. Just remember that a clean surface free of oily dirty debris is ideal and allows the tool to perform flawlessly. (I've always used small amount of an ammonia free glass cleaner directly on a rag.) The only negative I've experienced is simple. Add the use of a 3/8 ratchet without an adapter. I understand the idea that this tool can outperform a standard filter wrench but requires more torque to actually turn due to force applied. so it makes sense to include the use of the larger heavy duty ratchet/breaker bars. However when I'm upside down sideways in boats compartments or trying to remove a filter from a vehicle without pulling twenty layers of plastic shielding I just need a product capable of excessing the filter in time saving ways. More than once or twice now I've grabbed this thing paused and found myself realizing I didn't bring an adapter and almost never any 1/2 tools to service calls. Then I end up a little irritated I didn't buy a brand with an additional square built into the opposite side... Overall Lisle has built another great tool that I have become attached to.

It's beefy!
This thing is heavy duty, imagine a beefed up seat belt for the strap itself. The bracket I felt could have been a little more robust but hey it'll do and it holds up well. I've only used it once but it tackled the job I had easily. Which was I plastic housing paper oil filter on a car that I was having trouble with using a rubber strap wrench.

Best wrench so far to un-screew Whole House water filter
When you purchase a whole house water filter they always come with the most worthless cheap tool, that works one or two times. This strap tool used with a 1/2" socket handle is a winner. Also I used to use Vaseline on the threads so the case would unscrew easier. Now I have switched to a special plastic on plastic thread lubricant that is much better, beats the Vaseline lube hands down, see pic. The strap is heavy duty, and would be something that you could hand down to your kids, it could easily last 50+ years, super well built. I wish I would have gotten this 30 years ago.
