These pins have proven to be both strong enough and easily secured for light weight boats .
I purchased these release pins because the original pins provided for my inflatable fishing boat proved extremely Unsatisfying . These pins have proven to be the perfect solution . Especially for the foot rests which have to be pulled out and replaced each time I get onto and off from the boat . In addition the ring has sufficient room to tie para cord on them so I can secure them to the frame of the boat .

this is a nice pin and will work well on any item you want to secure to another item or surface and then can remove quickly. I used my pins to secure an 8' palm tree to my deck so the wind cant blow it over and then when ready to put away I pop the 4 pins in 10 seconds and stow the tree.......sweeet!

I use them to keep my bimini top in place on my pontoon boat.I wish they were a little thicker. One of them disappeared into the lake first trip out because it was so thin that it just vibrated out of the hole it was supposed to be securing
