WOW!!! This works ON CONTACT!!!
I have a 6 year old Maltese and he's got allergies. He also has flea bite dermatitis and seborrheic dermatitis. The vet has him on daily Apoquel and monthly he has a Cytopoint injection. We also have him on Bravecto , so with all that he is on, you'd think he wouldn't itch, but that's not true. He CONSTANTLY licks his front paws as well. I saw this in an ad on Facebook and read the reviews, and saw a lady with a Shih tzu who was on every medication for allergies and itching that my dog is on and she was VERY HAPPY she found it and said her dog hadn't itched since applying the powder. I got the powder formula and used it yesterday afternoon. I sprinkled it on his head, his back, his paws and his stomach. He did not itch ONCE last night. He hasn't whined from itching AT ALL today. It provides relief immediately!
Love this product! My dog has a recurring rash, blisters from allergies. But her skin clears up when I sprinkle the powder on her!. It stops itching; she stops biting...It heals and goes away. She likes me applying it now ! Will keep buying...

Immediate Relief!
My 10 year old Shih-tzu/Bichon mixes suddenly developed skin allergies this summer. My vet prescribed Apoquel which did provide "some" relief but both dogs continued to scratch and bite to the point of giving themselves bald spots. My vet's next recommendation was a shot. I wanted to find a healthier solution. After lots of googling I decided to try Coat Defense Dog Daily Preventative Powder. It gave both dogs IMMEDIATE RELIEF! No smell, so easy to apply. It's the best product! I highly, highly, highly recommend for your dog.

Did Not Work
My pitbull has terrible skin allergies, and we've tried everything. As soon as this arrived we used it 4 days in a row and it made her pink, itchy, smelly belly 10x worse. I SO wanted this product to work for her, but it just made her stomach bright red and crazy itchy. We landed up at the vet with an Rx for a secondary infection that developed from her scratching herself so much, plus we were told to quadruple the amount of Apoquel we'd been giving her. I was VERY hesitant to give her so much Apoquel after reading about the possible link to cancer (she already has issues with skin level cancerous tumors and the last thing I want to do is make that worse) but our vet assured us it's not associated with that type of cancer, and also did bloodwork just to be safe. After one week - she's completely better. Sorry, I wanted this to be our "miracle product" but it just did the opposite.

It really helped!
One of my dogs was having terrible problems with itchy skin and rashes. I have tried a few other products, none of which helped a great deal. I started using this and it started helping out right away and her skin problem has continued to improve. I will continue to use it as needed. My dog also seems to enjoy it. When she sees me coming with the container, she rolls over on her side so I can rub it onto her skin.

Product as described, but did not lend the relief I was hoping for...
SO this is not a review against this product!! But my experience with it was less than stellar and not because it's a bad product but maybe because we have not been able to truly diagnose what is irritating my poor dog so much. He did seem to enjoy when I put it in his ears...I was thinking he might have had a fungal/yeast thing going on there but I don't think that is the root of his excessive licking. The vet thinks allergy, I was thinking yeast, we've tried everything under the sun and can't quite nail down this issue!! If you purchase this for your pet, you will need a way to apply it other than just shaking it on your pet. I used a large cosmetic brush and it worked great. Good luck with your pet if you are having these kinds of issues for sure!

Didn't work for my dog
Wass disappointed my dog has long hair hard to get it to her skin her hair is not thick did not help her at all only been 3 days will use till gone and then review again if it improves going to cut her hair see if that helps

Seems to be working for a very itchy dog
My heeler is a tough allergy case. He was born and lived in another state but was brought to our state as a rescue - his environmental allergies are awful through the spring and summer when pollen counts are high. I have used this product to spot treat where he is itching and it seems to be working a little better than the anti-itch sprays.
